Default Villento Affiliate Manager help needed

Anybody have contact with Villento Affilate managers?
Since 12-09-07 I have been trying to contact them about an error in my December 2007 stats.

At first Andre got back to me on 12-11-07 and told me he would look into this.

Since I had still not heard back I emailed him on 12-18-07 to get the status. He never responded.

I even tried a few times to get them a message using the form on their website and they never responded to that either.

On Jan 9 2008 they sent out an affiliate Newsletter and this was from Andre's email address, so on that same day I emailed him a reply with all the same questions as before.

What is going on with this group?

If someone has contact with them can you please direct them to this thread?

    Thanks

So far it does not look good for Villento, they are completely non responsive. Its now over a month I have been trying to get them to answer me.

I was always very nice in my emails to them so I have NO idea why they are avoiding me.

Can someone who has a relationship with them please ask them to come to this thread or pm me?

Freshman it is not a good sign when you do not get any replies from an affiliate program.

    They make me laugh!!

Why bother sending out an email asking if they can help me to send them more traffic?

Now why would I do a silly thing like that if I can't even get someone from there to contact me?

Besides, how do I really know how much traffic I am actually sending them, they do NOT show clicks! That is just one of the difficult tasks in converting them. How can I know if placement on one of my sites is generating interest? If one spot gets more clicks than another? I can't just wait for a player to convert to know, you know it can take time.

They worry me, no ability to see clicks, very limited stats program and communication problems. I sure wish they would just talk to me. Its not even a huge problem. Can you imagine if it were?

Goodness. This is one thing that makes me lose my temper. When you can't get a response it's usually a good indicator that there will be nothing but headaches. I end up having a hissy fit and dropping an unresponsive program altogether.

Has anyone directed them to this thread?

I dropped them a long time ago for a lot of reasons:

    1. Sent LOTS of traffic with NO conversions (yes, in the same spots that other casinos converted in)

    2. Basically telling me that I needed to send more or better traffic, when I queried them (at the Vegas CAC), even though the traffic was very targetted and worked very well for other casinos at the time

    3. Reporting absolutely sucks. No way to verify click-tracking.

My thoughts are that they completely suck at working with affiliates and either have no idea about how to improve -OR- they may only work with the highest producers.

Who knows for sure, but it's not worth my headache to promote them. There are plenty of better converting programs out there.

I do think I need to pull them completely, I am sure I don't have them in too many spots. I have a hard time placing properties in the best spots when I can't verify click traffic. I have had them up way to long for nothing.

Oh well, hopefully they will read this thread and maybe it will spark some enthusiasm on making imporvements and responding to questions.

I think they like to keep a low profile or something, they rarely send out any communications and they do not have a forum anywhere that I have found. It seems they dont want to hear or be heard.

In a recent email I got from Villent, I was asked:
Please let me know how I can help and what is required to ensure you can deliver traffic to us.

    My response was:

What I need to help increase exposure and therefore conversion of Villento Casino is better stats.

You do not provide any kind of traffic stats and severly lack a full featured set of stats with regards to campaign tracking.

Providing campaign tracking and direct download links that track visitors and conversions helps webmaster know what adds are working on which sites and those that need changed or moved to increase conversions.

Until those are supplied I think you will continue to find that Villento will get less exposure overall industry-wide over those programs that offer the features and tools that allow webmasters to continue to study and tweak their campaigns to make more money.

    Rick
    Universal4

By the way, the above doesn't even address the use of campaign tracking....which is severly needed in addition to the above.

Hi, still no word from Villento for me!

I am going to keep updating this post until I get an answer and so that new affiliates are aware of this before joining.

New affiliates please read this entire thread before joining this program. Please be sure you don't waste your valuable best spots on Villento until they decide to better their communications with affiliates and update their stats program to a program that is actually useful.

I have still not heard a thing from Villento Affiliates in regards to my stats problem.

I again today emailed them to admin and to andrep at villentoaffiliates.com as well as pasting the same message into their website form email.

I have been doing this same thing for over a month. I also included a link to this forum so please if you are experiencing similar results in the communications area please complain here so maybe they get the message.

We have to show no matter how big or small a problem is this is not acceptable.

If there is a problem or if someone is ill there is no excuse for someone there to at least give us a heads up.

    Thanks in advance!!!

Thought that I would share with you my experience with Villento. I removed them from my directory in October 2007 because their affiliate website was unavailable. I sent email informing them of this, and heard nothing.

I then read your thread and thought that I would do a little test to see what was going on. I logged into the affiliate site and used the Contact Us page to ask them to update my mailing address. I did this on 18 Jan. It is now 28 Jan and my details have not been updated.

Seems to me that they're gone... hope you didn't lose too much with them.

    Hi Robert,

lucky for me I had no luck converting them (sounds silly but in this case its a good thing!), but just when I start to show that there is some activity my stats don't appear correct.

I guess it's time to admit they will never be a top program and that they just may not be around much longer. Either that or they need new management.

No matter what it is at this point they need to be removed from my sites.

I hope that other affiliates get a chance to read this thread so that they know what they are dealing with.

We need to figure out if they really do ignore you or if your mails just black hole.

For some obscure reason, (I have found this much out), Earthlink have banned a huge portion of the South African IP range. I can't for example check RTG stats because the call up of the stats in the login is blocked. When I use a 3G connection, the problem dissapears.

Rick (Universal) also knows that a whole load of mails (South Africa to USA / USA to South Africa) simply dissapear. We simply could not find an apparent reason why this would be. I do suspect that this may be partly a result of Earthlink's block though. Mails I sent to Rick and that he sent to me simply did not go through. It's perplexing to say the least.

Anyway, I met the affiliate manager at CAP Euro, took a copy of his casino software, chatted a while, and got on fairly well with him. He did not seem to be the sort to ignore an affiliate. I will ask him to come and post here. That way I can open up the communication lines. I personally have no past experience with them bar the initial sign up. I have not actively promoted them (no real reason to be honest). I do plan to add some banners and reviews though.

    Hi Brian,

Black hole, I don't think so.

I had one email answered about a month ago, it was to be followed up on by them. So that means they are getting my emails.

I also have emailed them via their own websites form email. Which in the past they didn't have a problem answering either.

I tired each method several times since and still nothing.

I hope the affiliate manager does come here and can figure out what the communication problem is.

    Default Contact made!

I got an email today from Andre Pronk that my details were updated in the system... this was in respose to the update request that I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Andre's sig said that he was the Affiliate Manager. I made him aware of this thread so that he can address it if he cares to.

    Unforseen crisis

Andre arrived back in the office a day late and rushed out immediately again. I am guessing he answered some e-mails before he left.

There is a family emergency so I think we should give him a few days to get around here. These things don't always pick a convenient time to crop up.

Thank you everyone for all of your help, I now am in contact with Andre and we are working on my stats problem.

As for what we assumed was an email communication problem I am not sure that it was since we have been now been exchanging emails through my usual email address and his usual email address.

    Thanks again EVERYBODY

Hey guys I just want to post that Andre has been emailing and responding to my mails and he seems to want to really work hard on getting the program back on track again. I can understand the low key approach they took for a long time after the law was changed, being a small program it had to be hard to adjust, not at all saying it is okay to ignore your affiliates and stuff I am just saying I understand hard times. I think there was an issue with mails being blocked as well for a long time.

Anyway I just wanted to say my sites are now promoting the casino once again and I am looking forward to earning some bucks with Villento
