Voice to Text

[belgamo]

I am wondering if I could get some recommendations on a good voice to text program. I keep seeing this Dragon Fish on TV and its got me wondering if they are worth purchasing.

I played around with some voice to text programs and was not really impressed. Was not the Dragon one, the TV commercial makes it look flawless though. Perhaps if there is a satisfaction guarantee on the program it may be worth a go. Let us know if you do get it and how it does.

I haven't tried any of these programs that have come out recently, but I remember in my last job they wanted me to try and use it and it wouldn't pick up my accent

try using siri servers

try windows speech recognition and just speak the article in my own words into a microphone.

Siri doesn't look like a viable option, since SApple bought them they have dropped all support and development except for iPhone, iPad and iPodTouch....in fact the wiki doesn't even mention any availability on their own OS.....

Great! I'd be really interested in hearing how it works; I've also been thinking about buying it for a while now but was concerned about the accent issue. Hopefully it would reduce a bit of the typing strain I'm getting in my arms and hands.
