Pr does help and so does the # of quality backlinks. Which only comes when people do reciprocal links with you. My site is just about 20 days old so ratio of link exchange for me rite now is 10 : 1. But if i have a high PR, the ratio of my link exchange could be 10 : 5 . Also, i am aiming for the keyword "online casinos". Inorder to get into the top 10, along with good optimization i need a very good # of links + high PR since this keyword is very very competitive. If someone doesn't has too much competition + not aiming for high rankings, then getting PR is not an issue.

Have you considered using Links Manager and Links Partners to load your links up very quickly?

Have you run around and added your link to the zillions of us who use Links Manager??

yeah ..i've tried both...but those havne't been really impressive...90% of the time i get linked to a page with a PR0.

i'm hoping that getting access into the private forums would help me since there is a forum about links.

I was wondering why you don't ask for link exchanges from people on the forum and other places like that why your at it. What is the name of your site?

Selling PR is not only wrong but illegal.

What exactly is illegal about it? It would be very helpful if you had a link to an article. Thanks in advance.

SearchKing was selling PR last year and got sued by Google for it - I believe Goog won. Try running a search at Goog for it, or you might try one of the GoogleChat SEO forums for more info on all of this.

I looked it up and you have your information a bit backwards - SearchKing actually sued Google.

Basically searchking was selling links for the purposes of boosting PR and Google nerfed searchking's PR rating. SearchKing sued google to try and get this fixed, but the case was dismissed.

whatever it is, Google was very unhappy and SearchKing's page still has no PR. Which means no Advertisers for PR...They are still in loss(apart from the money Google had to pay)..
Anyways by illegal i din't really meant the term "illegal".....
