    Default Dom and CAP

Ok guys, I am travelling and at this point I have slept for 3 hours in 3 days.

So I really won't be here to answer (yeah I said that before but I gotta sleep sometime)

Lou is not feeling well, he has a heart condition and it's all been too much for him. He needs to step back a bit and rest and think things through calmly.

So Bonusstreak and I will be running the CAP forum for a bit. It's nothing much new, I've been there all along.

When I have slept long enough ( I hope a very long time) I'll be spending all the time I can while on the road at CAP. There will be no closing threads and we'll talk it out over there.

Everyone knows my rules already - no personal attacks. Beyond that, matters will get discussed. I don't have any answers about the business end, but I think I know enough about how things affect affiliates to discuss our end of things.

The timing is awful with my being on the road, but we'll make it work. Signing off now....

Good Idea to get some rest. We can all chill a moment.

Here is a post from Warren

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your kind words. Lou is obviously very distraught over this situation after spending 10+ years fighting for the industry, helping resolve countless number of issues between affiliates and programs, and spearheading such instrumental initiatives such as CAP Euro along with the rest of our team. The decision was made because Lou would like to focus his time and energy on helping affiliates succeed in private rather than taking abuse from other silly competing forums, which is rather childish in the first place.

I would like to encourage everyone, both members and non-members of CAP, to encourage GPWA, Michael Corfman, Jay Todd, APCW, and whoever else is participating in these attacks against the CAP community to STOP causing this unneeded distraction in our industry. It will hurt you PERSONALLY if Lou is no longer a part of CAP and able to provide the assistance and guidance he has since CAP's inception.

I'd also like the clarify the following points, based on a few rumours circling:

    - Dom and Christine will head the CAP message board, not the company or site, for the time being.
    - None of the top management from our parent company (Affiliate Media) have or will resign from the company. Please bear in mind that the company Lou co-founded behind CAP has many subsidiaries. Lou's post reflects his intention to resign from publicly running the forums at CAP. Everyone will still be involved behind the scenes in ensuring that CAP remains the igaming affiliate industry's leading driving force.- Most of the CAP team, including Lou and I, will be attending CAP Euro London and we encourage you to approach us about any outstanding issues.
    - CAP is stronger than ever, with more new members, posts, traffic, and certified programs than ever before. More cool stuff to come which will be announced soon.

See you all next week in London!
Perhaps someone could ask some questions for us.

Meanwhile, if anyone still has a payment issue with CardSpike I encourage you to speak up now while everyone is still in London.

Dom I thank you for at least opening the forums for discussion. I just wanted to request that the people who have been banned for reasons that were uncalled for have their bans removed so that they to can speak in the forum and ask their questions. I think these people should at the very least have their questions and / or opinions heard.

Thanks all and have a good night

Oh darn, just when I thought we were getting somewhere. Someone brought this to my attention from the above 'Warren' post:

It will hurt you PERSONALLY if Lou is no longer a part of CAP
    Huh?

Sorry to bring this up. However some are taking it as a threat.

Hi Mojo, it's going to be a bit difficult for me to answer duplicate posts on various message boards. I could spend all kinds of tome running all over and typing the same thing, I'll have to think of a solution for that.

I think it will hurt a lot of people personally not to have Lou around, whether he made any bad business decisions or not, he took care of a lot of people's troubles in a personal way and he is a good person to talk to in person.

In any case, I snatched two hours of sleep and have to go to my appointment now.

Wednesday I will head on to London and see about getting a hold of Cake and sorting what needs to be sorted.

As far as bans go, I will see about lifting RECENT bans, as already stated. That would include Michael et al. Michael should check and see if it's not lifted already. It was one of my conditions for stepping in.

Communications are a bit spotty now because of my travelling, and that in an incompatible time zone. One I get back from London things should move a lot faster.

Another condition I made is strict seperation of the business of the parent company and the running of CAP and so you will not see Warren post again any time soon.

Ok, I am off to do what I came here for. I hope everyone will have a little patience while I am travelling.

To be frank Dominique given the choice you are far better alternative Lou IMO.

Okay I will be quiet now. Try and get some much needed rest.

Sorry bout that Dom. I have acquired that habit as things get confusing and deleted. Hopefully all of that will change anyway.

Enjoy London and I look forward to seeing positive changes.

Just curious, why in the world are CAP operational (rules) issues being dealt with here on GPWA?

Surely I cant speak for others and I represent only myself, but why in the world would anyone banned want to come back? This diversionary tactic that Lou is gone so now everything is just fine and dandy is hogwash!

"Just curious, why in the world are CAP operational (rules) issues being dealt with here on GPWA?"

This entire controversey and thread is about how lou/CAP operated and relations between a number of business and how they were operated.

Yes it's about whether they were operating transpearantly, if they needed to and what will be done about cardspike debts, but this all operational.

Arkyt, CAP has been object of discussion here for some time.

I want to reverse the recent bans and whether people want to post or not is their choice - but at least it IS a choice.

I will clear up what I can when I can. Hopefully I will find out a lot in London.

Randy is in touch with me. If anyone else is owed money by card spike, please PM me, I will be trying to take care of this in London this week.

Haha, I can only guess at the smartass remarks you deleted here. Anonymity? LOL!

Come tell'em to my face in London! If they're any good, I'll buy you a stout.

You've been a mod there for a long time, and watched folk get thrown to the lions.

You seem to disagree with some of those decisions.

The "stepping in" and "conditions" therefore, are a tad late.

You'd be better off running your own aff forum quite frankly.

My own aff forum - boy, I don't need all the headaches.

Besides, there are enough around already. Splintering the aff community even further is the total opposite of what I would like to see.

Divide and rule. More power to the masses when one individual isn't effectively omnipotent. Otherwise, disaster. I've always said that about another pal of hours, but I won't bring that up here.

As such, the more GPWAs or GIAs there are, the better.

Also, you shouldn't be trying to handle the Cardspike situation. The most you should be doing (if you should be doing anything), is getting Lou and Warren to sort out the mess that they, not you, created. That you, as a humble forum administrator, is ending up with the job speaks volumes.

Could never trust CAP again. I do not understand, why I cant post over there, I never broke a rule at CAP. So keep me on the list that cant post. I understand trying to keep certain things quiet, but not paying people and banning people for keeping there money is not cool.

I just wanted to point out that I pm'd you and the response was to "talk with Warren" which of course has been done for months with no resolution..

I'm not trying to be an ass, but it seems to me that nothing has changed and I dare say with the recent CAP Euro events things have gotten worse.

I also think it was obvious that this was another ploy by Lou's brilliant mind to distract everyone from the shady **** that they have been doing.. I just hate to see someone like yourself that has the respect of so many affiliates getting drug into this sad tale of lies, cheating, and theft.

Of course I never heard back form you or Warren since I posted my details at CM, and I guess that;s what I expected.

So, to date I'm still owed over 4k in Cardspike revenue plus the money I've had to shell out to players that never got their rakeback payments.
