    Default Website valuation tool

I found some interesting website valuation tools on the web. It will give you the value according to some metrics of your website.

I think its more fun that serious. But I wander how accurate these figures are if you were trying to sell your site?

Well apparently at present my site is worth £4,500 on one of these sites and about £89 on another??? I choose £89 lol!

I think they lack many metrics especially including subject area, which is important for gaming sites.

Anyway here is one of the links... it defaults to my valuation but you can put your own site in and check it out:

Nice little tool you have found there, obviously impossible for anything automated to tell anybody the true value of a website however what your find does, is allow some good knowledge be gained

Estibot was one that I was using - but none of the tools are really accurate. Although I did see a few estimates that were spot-on in terms of what the company actually sold for. So go figure

I noticed that when you use some of these websites, it stores the link to your website somewhere, because after a while when checking on my backlinks I noticed that I was getting one from that page, and a google search indeed proved it

NOTE: I'm not talking specifically about the website posted by the alex, but another similar service.

Nice link! But lol! I wish I could sell for what they offered.. Not that they offered very much, but it would be very +EV for the amount of work I have put into my sites so far!

Actually, I'd be interested to find out more about how they measure the value of the site. Do they simply use a formula that takes into account: top keywords + position for that keyword + keyword traffic + prices for those keywords according to Adwords? Or something else?

Because some of the results I get for a few websites are simply absurd

I got some results that were too high for those sites, and a couple that were way below.

I wonder what amount of profit they figure per visitor.

They gave me 30,000 euros as a valuation not too shabby I guess for a lil over a year but well below our numbers: http://biznut.co.uk/www.cooperspick.com

I use websiteoutlook.com but a website valuation is very difficult to do without going into the nuts and crannys and taking into account the industry the webiste is promoting or coming from.

Just an AddSence money making tool, not a lot I guess 30 minutes and you have site like this up and running.

All tools like this not industry-targeted, and the results of course are incorrect. But OK to use them for fun
