Default What now for US depositors?

Now the new gambling laws are in full effect what options are left for US depositors?

Which depositing and withdrawing options are casino and poker rooms offering for US players now?

What would be handy would be a list of US facing casinos and their corresponding depositing options.

Oh dear, the situation really looks grim, is it basically game over for US facing casinos and affiliates from this month on then?

I was in touch with one very well known affiliate manager who said they still accepted one particular ewallet and credit card....

...how long for I don't know

In an unfortunate comparison, gambling online is like heroin. If someone wants to do it they will just find a way.

I think it's definitely wise not to be posting the methods, and I doubt they are going anywhere fast.

Everyone thought it was over when we couldn't take paypal anymore. Then everyone thought it was over when the UIGEA went through.. well my friends it has been many years since the paypal stuff, and 2 years since UIGEA and we are all still here.. Have faith..

No Renee - it's been less than 2 weeks since it became operational - I think that you'll find that's why the post was made.

It was 2 years ago that the law was passed which was my point - please read what I wrote. The point is that back then people thought it would be all over and it wasn't.

I think what he meant was that it was proposed 2 years ago but just got enforced 2 weeks ago, thus prompting this thread Renee.

Gooner quoted my post out of context. I know it was implemented 2 weeks ago, but my point was that when the bill was passed people thought it would be the end back then and people are doing the same thing now that it has been implemented. Sheesh!

Read my post again. It might make more sense then.

Renee is right - many affiliates completely panicked when the "Bill" passed. Affiliates were closing up websites and forums or selling at depression prices. Many thought it was the end for American facing businesses.

Many operators ran screaming for the hills too. Yet here we are in June 2010, still conducting business in America. Still finding ways to move money too.

Sure there have been some major bumps along the way but we are still here and we'll still be doing business in 2011/2012 the same way - until the silly law gets repealed and someone comes up with a workable alternative.

It's so frustrating. American poker players who play for a living work hard and most no doubt pay their taxes. Affiliate businesses work hard to recruit players and keep them happy. It seems so frustrating in these dark economic times to have things like this coming along and pushing our income down at a time where we could all be paying more tax and making more profit - surely something that would be good for governments all round the world.

As an occasionally player living in the US myself, I was able to deposit and withdrawal with my bank card with a few rooms in the past few days. No trouble, and probably faster than ever. Again, we'll see in a few months...

It's important for operators to remember that the ones that do stick it out with US Gamblers will be handsomely rewarded for their efforts. A huge market hungry for gaming solutions plus less competition mean a much better return than scrapping it out in the saturated markets.

This is correct. It was a Saturday. I wasn't even supposed to be on my computer that day. I did get on the GPWA site though early that day and learned the news.

Well what's the deal with the prepaid cards?

I thought they were the new answer to the old problem.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

Sorry for that.. but as a non-USAnian and though the fact i am in a rather semi optimistic-semi sarcastic mood I think there is only one thing left to do and is to *salutes* start singing "Good Morning USA, I got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day
The sun in the sky has a smile on his face and it's shining a salute to the American race.
Oh boy, it's swell to say: "Good Morning USA."

it will be over soon... hopefully.
