    Default Where to Sell Domains

Where is a good place to sell domains? I did list them here on GPWA at https://www.gpwa.org/forum/usa-domains-sale-264436.html but to hit a larger audience anyone have any recommendations? I've used Flippa before but if I remember the fees were pretty high.

    Thanks

Depends if you're looking to sell quickly or happy to wait it out.

For the latter I've used both sedo and dan, dan have higher fees now but get way more offers (plus they offer things like lease to own).

It can be a bit of a waiting game though. We sold a couple last month through Dan, one of which we'd registered about 10 years ago. Although we did also sell a brandable one that I randomly thought of earlier in the year, so that only took a couple of months.

If you want to sell now... try the other affiliate forums (AGD etc..). There's also mainstream aff forums that might have some interest. You could also go down the domainer route (eg: Namepros and so on), but expect to get reseller prices, not end user.

It's a shame to waste time. Now it's probably impossible to sell even a great domain for pennies. I myself tried and went down even to $10 per domain and nothing.
I even additionally threw in an indexed site free for that 10 usd with premium plugins and unique content and nothing.

Some time ago I also wanted to sell for a penny what admittedly medium domains but cheap.

and a bunch of other better/worse ones.
So whatever domain and price and site better let go. It's a dead market.

I don’t think this is true, it’s just what people buy has changed. The days of EMDs are largely over, unless they’re premium domains. Otherwise people seem to prefer to buy brandable names.

We’ve bought and sold plenty of aftermarket domains over the past year.

Clearly, to zero the market has not fallen. But it's probably at 1-2% of what it used to be.

All in all, it doesn't surprise me. In a world where the domain name isn't so important anymore, everyone clicks and doesn't type.
Plus, in the rankings, it doesn't matter what the domain is.
So it's better to buy a new one and use the cash for development, and a lot of people make this assumption.
Besides, there are a huge number of free branded .com and other domains.

I agree and that is why you don't see domains for sale as much I think.

With online casinos and poker finally legal in some states here in the USA (and more to come) I have USAlegalcasinos.com, usalegalslots.com and usalegalpoker.com which I think could be useful.

If I had it in me I would develop them into a brand as I think they are good domains. I just don't have the initiative to take that on right now so figure I will see if I can get anything for them.

Right with EMD, however, sometimes the EMD domain can also be a brand. Let's look at bookmakers Betonline/Sportsbetting and many others.

The cool thing is that now there are a huge number of extensions and you can come up with a super word game.

I myself have bet50s.com I wanted to make an interactive map of the 50 US states and when you click on it there would be a subpage of the state in question, but I gave up on that idea.

However, on your site usalegalcasinos you advertise betonline and offshore sites. It's a bit misleading to be honest.
I'm a proponent of the offshore market myself, but I don't write legal on my site if I know it's typical offshore betting in a particular location.

There's no LAW in the states that makes offshore gambling illegal, as far as the player is concerned. Therefore in the technical aspect of the word LEGAL, it is perfectly legal. There can be state laws that prohibit online gambling, but there's yet to be a person fined or sentenced for gambling on an offshore site.

However, if it's a risky offshore that runs away with your players' money, hits your credibility as an affiliate.

As for EMDs, despite what people say and what Google claims, I've found that they still work great, brand great, and as long as you are not pulling any shenanigans or trying to avoid penalties, works wonders. Personal observation and feedback from others that use it, not blindly quoting Google on this.

I've used SEDO in the past, don't think the platform would matter much, when you have something good for a decent price.

Yeah exactly. So onlinebetting.com and casinogames.com straddle both EMD and brandable names, those are the EMDs that are still selling well. It's the names like bestnodepositslots2020.me that no one wants any more (for good reason).

I actually just sold an EMD yesterday for a decent whack.

Totally agree. I was talking from a domain sales perspective rather than a ranking one.

Ive seen one of the top Gambling Domain resellers use LinkedIn quite a lot - perhaps might be a place to experiment as well
