I use ChatGPT regularly for brainstorming, organizing ideas, rewriting rough drafts, and speeding up research. It’s especially useful for summarizing discussions, generating alternative perspectives, and helping with repetitive tasks that would normally take a lot longer manually.
That said, I still think human editing and experience matter a lot. AI can save time, but the final quality depends on the person using it. The best results usually come from combining AI assistance with real knowledge and critical thinking.
Most of this thread is about ChatGPT-as-chat — type, get text back, edit, paste somewhere. Worth flagging there's a whole other branch most people haven't touched yet: agentic coding tools. Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, that family.
The difference is they don't just answer questions, they actually do the work. You point them at your repo or your site folder and say "fix the broken contact form on this page" or "add Schema markup to all the review pages" and they read the files, write the changes, run the build, tell you what they did. It's the same underlying model, but the interaction shifts from "AI as writer" to "AI as junior dev who never sleeps".
For anyone running their own WordPress sites, custom themes, or affiliate scripts — this is probably the single biggest unlock in the last year, way more than another version of GPT chat. Routine stuff that used to be a half-day of "ugh, I have to actually open the IDE" now takes 20 minutes of supervising the agent.
Catch is it's still a junior dev — confidently wrong sometimes, occasionally creative in ways you didn't ask for, needs you to review what it actually changed. But for the kind of small recurring code tasks most webmasters here probably grind through, it's a step change.
Curious if anyone here is already using Claude Code or Codex for their sites, or still strictly in the "paste text into ChatGPT" mode.

I have found that AI is useful for structure but much less reliable for deciding what a page actually needs.
I dont really enjoy using it. My go to so far has been Claude, Kimi and Grok! occassinally use Gemini too. GPT seems to always be filled with made up solutions
