Worst Day Ever

Yesterday was worse than Boxing Day. Horrific day on the football results it seems. December/January blues.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. Knew as soon as the scores were confirmed there was going to be trouble.

Some of the winning slips I saw on facebook and twitter last night were huge, thought Aberdeen might have scuppered a lot of accas but seemingly not. Sure there must have been some big potential wins rolling over onto today's matches, perhaps Arsenal have just about saved a second consecutive day of red numbers though.

lol, it's nothing to worry about, just gives the punters more money and confidence.

yesterday was bad but Aberdeen, Derby and Bradford not winning helped, plus Sprinter Sacre

Now Arsenal have gone and made all things good again.

Saturdays like this dont happen often so really wouldn't worry

Certainly an eye-watering moment to get 50% of my monthly commissions wiped out in a day, but yep I'm only 18 months into this business so it's all a learning experience. Rough with the smooth and all that.

I lost quite a bit on Everton-WBA yesterday, but apparently I wasn't the only one. Today my aff profits made up for what I lost, and then some.

Yep best outcome for any game is nothing happens. I took one hell of a beating at weekend, Sunday wiped another significant % off my revenues so yesterday's 0-0 only went a small way to recovery.

Not sure it will be a great revenue day - although the results should have blown out all the accumulators - but they're not the big punts.

More than half our FA Cup picks were winners ... the odds on the favoured sides to win were not great ... and so "exotics" like BTTS (Both Teams TO Score), or "Leading after 30 minutes" were used, and Chelsea, Southampton and Tottenham games all paid out on those.

Still - great to see all the upsets coming in - it makes for good headline copy - and there should be a lot of interest in the 5th Round now.

it is the same every month, the month is over when it 's over. in this industry you can only count on the first day in the month, so often i saw the last day was a desaster!

Wasn't a good day for me, slight loss overall on yesterday's betting which suggests like you said people were betting on different things than just 1X2 results.

Betfair posted the bet of one of their punters who would have won a £1million on a £10 Win & BTTS 6 or 7 fold accumulator. Liverpool/Bolton game let them him down.

If Bolton had won, my guess is it would have cost the Bookmakers alot, Spurs, Chelsea, Man C & Liverpool would have been the 4-fold of choice yesterday, you don't need many contrarians on them all to lose (must have been a 5-figure acca)
