Yahoo, Google cleared of wrongdoing in gambling ad case

The San Francisco Supreme Court has dismissed a case against Yahoo and Google that claimed the search engines should be liable for a players' losses at an online casino because the player found the sites where he lost the money using the search engines.

The ruling has cleared the online sites on which the advertisements were posted,....

while the ruling was from a CA judge only (as opposed to a federal judge), i still see this as good news in the extemely, extremely, extremely unlikely event that a player were to come after a US-based gaming portal (such as those featured by many GPWA members, or even Casino City) after a loss.
