    Exactly, what I expected.
It's a scandal, that a tracking company, that have to be independent and have to work 100% correct all the time (!) can pay for public protection.
The same sponsorship pattern I have seen so many times in the past.
Even with programs, that were / are evil!
    NetRefer is no sponsor here.
    Interesting, or?

    The truth is very simple.
I have spoken with real independent people and not with GPWA staff, that will be paid by Income Access.
    Over months!
    Both sides, also programs.
I have patience and take always time for my investigations.
After months the result is very clear: Webmasters probably have lost thousands and thousands of $ because of the faulty tracking system.

And it's my free decision only to promote programs that are using tracking system outside of Income Access. Also paid GPWA staff can't do anything against that, and no program can be forced to use Income Access! So it's also their free decision.

    Thank goodness!

It's my legal right, because if a tracking system does not work 100% then for me it is worthless.

My decision is final, and I was addressed with the same issue from Allan in my diary.

I don't write my words double, so here is the link to my 2nd answer, more detailed: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/leopolds-...tml#post782215

I have no problems with IA being sponsors here, and it shows they have a willingness to work on issues, which is more than some service providers.

I do not agree with everything they do, and I think they have dropped the ball at times and should take a more pro-active approach to things like dead links etc, but I also think they are at least trying to listen to the complaints about what seems to be the leading cause of why many have had issues with the stats as of late.

Whether that translates in getting some real fixes in place or not remains to be seen, but over the years since they have been sponsors here, they rarely have hid from the issues, I do feel a few should have been fixed a long time ago, but they have ALWAYS listened to our complaints, and I have seen many times where they have helped affiliates so they deserve kudos for that.

"I have no problems with IA being sponsors here"
What a surprise. You are working for GPWA and for sure not on a voluntary basis without any benefit.
And every benefit is paid by GPWA sponsor fees, sub-affiliate links to every program and Casino City.
    This is the simple truth.
I have no problem with it as long as GPWA staff is able to hold back sometimes and listen only instead of downplaying the dependence.

Systems like that, where e.g. a bank will be accepted by consumer protection as a paying sponsor ... we would call it in Germany "sleaze".

Instead of paying £4,000 / Euro 5,600 / $5,900 sponsor fee every year they better should invest the money in a 100% correct working system.

Marketing (= money) first. This is the slogan for IA and the reason why they are allowed to be sponsor here ... and it's valid for both sides of the table.

This company is not independent but handling with money like a bank. How do we feel if e.g. only 9 out of 10 wire transfers will arrive our bank account because of any technical problems?

Do we say: "Oh, this is o.k., no problem. I don't need my money I worked hard for."?

And if Income Access (with a tracking status like a bank) will be described as an "Affiliate Network", then my alarm bells are ringing!

It is therefore not surprising that so many new sponsors are using IA. Shamed be he who thinks evil of it.

Again: The people I spoke with are really independent and intelligent and know what they are talking about. A worst thing for me is, that IA tried to blame programs for their own technical incompetence.

One simple question: Has IA reimbursed all the webmasters, who lost thousands of Dollars because of the technical problems?

I know that you would rather not have programs, or operators, or software vendors available to answer questions, or be available to get feedback or opinions about issues if and when they arise.

You would rather just have an area where you can complain and not have anyone respond.

I think that it shows quite a bit of integrity that folks like I/A have stuck it out over the years no matter what kind of abuse or complaints "some" users throw their way.

Sure they are not perfect, but working with them in a calm, responsible and professional way will get a lot further than just complaining and claiming they shouldn't be here.

I have seen many other programs disappear or completely ignore questions about issues, but in your eyes some of those are ok.

Sure, with the issues that have been raised, some affiliates may choose not to promote programs using them, and some would rather try to find a solution (and some will just complain) but whatever choices are made, they will have been made with representation from BOTH sides because the IA is here at the GPWA, and willing to discuss the issues and not because of a lack of that.

And I am not shocked in the least that you would question MY INTEGRITY, but please let's keep this thread on track with IA.

Income Access: Our goal is marketing, marketing and once more marketing.
    Technical correctness? Minor matter!?

    "develop [...] links"
    Very interesting.
The same SEO promises you can find on thousands of other websites.
There are only 10 places on first Google SERP.
    Even IA can't change that.

    First comes love....then comes marriage...

Summer is among us and so I thought I would inquire and see if there are some summer weddings coming up.

Outside, on a beach? Who's doing what?

It is sunny today, finally after a miserbale raining weekend...always in time for the work week!

So with the sun came the thought of the lovely weddings that must be coming up. Just curious if you'd like to share...

Oh yes, summer weddings. What a great idea for gimmicky promotion.

With one public phone number it's proven, that Income Access is nothing but a marketing octopus. For me they have nothing to do with the philosophy of a trustworthy and independent tracking company.

Their "network" shows, that they live and work in dependence and conflicts of interest from sunrise to sunset.
You can't bite the hands you are shaking if you have a fragile octopus network.
This is the reason why marketing comes first and technical correctness is a minor matter.
And the reason why I will no longer support that with my traffic.

    Many Thanks,

Allan, you cannot have it both ways

What is "Important functionality"? Why is it legal?

I'm guessing here that IMO IA created a contract for operators that allows them to have these options that are fatal to affiliates. Perhaps some of IAs operators misused these functions and hurt affiliates. Not IA fault! But yes, it is. Now you can't back out of the contract. You have no control. That is what I assume you mean by 'legal reasons'.

IA is becoming a 'bad word' and it's hard to watch the demise for everyone.

IA never posted what was coming out Q2. I would bet IMO it's not a fix at all. It's insulting that IA gave us no clue what the roll out is. We could have collectively helped. Faith is failing.

Sad to see good people go down like this. There was no fix at Q2. Sure it's a couple days late no big deal right? Wrong. Something this important to affiliates deserves attention! Allen or anyone couldn't give the time of day on Q2. Instead we get a canned response to have a nice weekend.

Allen, if you are not going to roll it out then tell us what it is. As Rick said, we hope it's permanent so we don't have to keep posting over and over again! That is YOUR bad.

This has been going on for years with IA. Enough already.

I guess Alan can provide a link to relevant laws in f.e. Malta, Gibraltar or Curacao where is pointed out that this function is for legal reasons necessairy for operators.

I think there are misconceptions about the "legal reasons" being referred to.

Allan can clarify this if I misread or misunderstood the original statement or idea as presented.

I think what was being referred to was when an operator closed or shut down a page or offer, such as a freebie or bonus that they were required to stop for legal reasons. We all understand that some countries and jurisdictions have made or change laws or guidelines concerning the way a bonus or offer is presented.

I have no problem with that and never had an issue when an operator has had to do this (whether for legal reasons or not...I don't care if they decided to change a bonus just cause it cost then a few quid)

The stupidity comes into play when they disable the "link" itself and do not preserve the traffic in some way, either by changing the original landing page or having it redirect to a different page.

Since every single landing of a visitor comes out of a query from the database where the links are stored, I personally think it is just plain stupid not to fix this and can not come up with a logical reason why this was NOT done YEARS ago!

I am not real sure why the logic of "lost traffic" has not sunk in to those making the decisions about this at either the operators or upper management at I/A, and I can only assume some less than business oriented programmer has been making excuses why it was never done, or someone in upper management has never sat down and looked at the problem LOGICALLY, but time is really up on this one.

The business that I/A is in is tracking traffic, so FIX THE LINKS and TRACK THE TRAFFIC and make sure the traffic LANDS at the proper destination.

    Yes I agree.

I understand that operators don't want to be maintaining an page or a banner promoting an offer that has completed. And in some jurisdictions that can be considered illegal - part of a bait-and-switch operation. I think that's easy to understand.

But, I think it's also easy to understand the the "award winning" affiliate system should have a default set of banner sizes and a default landing page so that a generic banner is served, and a generic landing page is provided whenever a specific link has been deleted.

This default could even be done by gambling vertical for multi=platform advertisers (sports, casino. poker, bingo etc) if the old links were not actually deleted - but "expired" instead and still remained in the system indicating original product - thus providing specific current promotions images and landing pages without the affiliate needing to change codes ... GASP ... a flexible advertising system?

    What a revolutionary idea!

That is not rocket science. That does not take much time to think about and install.
It should have been a basic option from the start.

I'm available for hire any time Income Access want to hired experienced gambling consultants to help scope changes to their system from an affiliate point of view ... just drop me a PM or email.

Or they can be deleted after all, but there should be still counter of clicks there and red box that would popup after login: "There are XYZ clicks to deleted links, click here for details and referrals".

    Hi Everyone,

We wanted to send out an update regarding the changes we have made to our functionality on disabling banners.

We have rolled out a change to the Marketing Tools section of the IA Software, no longer allowing operators to have the ability to disable banners.

In the event that banners need to be turned off due to legal requirements, this will be addressed by operators on a case by case basis.

This is a functionality that you have voiced a large concern over, and we have taken the appropriate action to ensure that your concerns are addressed.

    Kind Regards,
    Allan
