With BAC just around the corner, I thought I would see what events people think of/see/do that remind them that they are on a conference/been to conference etc.

I'll start it of with...

You know when you're on a conference when...

...you wake up fully clothed with a bed full of conference freebies and a warm beer/gin and tonic on the bedside table.

...you are heading off to bed when people are queuing for breakfast.

When people think you're a promo girl... Martyn gets them every time with that one! Hahaha

When you're stood up for your first 5 meetings of the day because there was free beer and they were at a strip club... and when they finally get to the conference they ask you if you still carry berocca with you to conferences, then after you give them one you have people you've never met asking you for one for the rest of the day.

When you get off the plane and you get 30 texts asking where you are so you can meet so and so for a drink in the hotel lobby.

When a thread starts going around on whatsapp about which strip club everyone will be going to that night, and at 8pm Beacon is telling everyone he is in bed already...

I am a conference virgin. I used to manage and design the "big one" in Vegas for a couple of huge companies, but as far as this goes.... I am a total noob. Maybe a proper initiation will be in order at the one I finally make it to. (not this one

sorry)

I am already in the hole one beer to Martyn. He is so good at this he gets drinks before people even attend.

How do you compete with that?!
