yes, this is a quite thing now, and it will continue until the mechanism will be in place to quote properly the content that AI suggests.

Funnily enough, when I compared the data GPT fetched from one of the biggest review platforms with the data I see with my own eyes, the data was not the same. I suspect this is a "content poisoning" tactic, to prevent scrapers and AI agents from stealing somebody's decades-long work.

For a lot of how to and i need the answer zero click is devastating, but i feel casino sites are actually a lot deeper than what a snippet is going to deliver. For instance if your looking for a bunch of no kyc casinos i dont think your going to get what your looking for...

68% doesn't surprise me honestly. We stopped chasing rankings for anything Google can answer in a snippet a while back. Now that traffic gap just goes toward pages where people actually need to click through, like reviews. Feels like a forced but healthy shift.

I'm seeing more and more reviews being served by AI overviews recently too - the true, available real estate that affiliates are attempting to rank for is becoming smaller and narrower by the day.

On top of everything you guys have posted, Google came out with a spam update a couple of weeks ago that punished sites that were over-optimized for Ai searches.

Who said this? Spam update ofc ... but there is nothing anymore against AI or GEOptimization.
I do run sites without original content, who took 20 minutes to launch but deliver 300 qualified unique visits a day (and FTD ofc).
Right now it's all about visibility and its fast and made to get shown my Google AI overviews.
In those cases I do give a **** on the native Google serps - for us there a gone for us anyway
