This domain is one of two the subsidiary of a company listed on the London Stock Exchange tried to acquire from me a few years ago. The first one they tried to acquire was AtlanticCityOnlineGambling.com. Just recently someone requested a price through Afternic.

Another killer domain and brand name foundation that's perfect for a large scale operator aside from affiliate marketing as well. The quadruple whammy of being not only perfect for America itself, but the whole American continent (North, Central, South).

If that company wanted to talk again, btw, I'd be perfectly happy to consider stock in lieu of cash. Bitcoin also still welcome.

Yes, that is certainly good advice, already done. Long story, can't go into the details of course. And the story hasn't ended yet...

I've always liked this one, so I'm just posting it here this time because I felt like giving that a whirl. But to be perfectly honest this one is among the bunch I would be happy to just keep, use and never sell at all when I finally feel ready and up to going all in that way. I have been completely confident that change and correction re de facto US prohibition would occur because it just runs completely against what this country is about despite its existence, and everything I have been so confident about has been coming true, so I'm not in any hurry. Including sports betting, and I would be extremely surprised if SCOTUS does not kill PASPA as well.

Lol. Thanks, Betivity. It's an "I can take it or leave it" kind of thing for me. I'm not so attached that I would not sell or do a hybrid deal of some kind, and I would sell or do something for a good deal. But I'm not trying that hard and don't intend to try that hard because this one is a "keeper" as they say, and I'd be happy to keep and use it (again) later. However, since I have such an embarrassment of riches in terms of having a good number of the best .coms for the US online gambling market as it continues to unfold, which this one is, I can sell some and still have some left over to use later. Or perhaps this one can become a joint venture or something like that. For this one, no hurries and no worries.

I'm really not sure what to make of you, Matthew, because on the one hand your profile says you were already gambling in 1998, an affiliate since 2003, one would think probably gambling online well before 2003 (right?), and a member here since 2006, but from your first question and with this follow up it appears you are representing that you really do not know anything about the domain name industry at all. One of your own domains is even registered at GoDaddy, which not only owns Afternic but also abundantly markets, advertises and upsells on its own site, and yet you really are unfamiliar with these things?

Well, to make a long story short, some people's myths and misconceptions about long vs. short are simply that - myths and misconceptions. It's about quality, not quantity. For example, in the domain investing world domains like VacationRentals.com and PrivateJet.com would actually be considered "long," but they are nonetheless among the most valuable and highest reported sales of all time, at $35 million and $30 million each respectively. ForSaleByOwner.com sold for close to the $1 million mark ($835k). MayTheForceBeWithYou.com, which you can see listed on my site, once had a real bid of $6.7 million at auction. And so forth, although these are only known and reported sales, a mere fraction of what has taken place. There are many short and many long domains which are worthless junk, however, so the strategy you have articulated is a well known prescription for big loss and disappointment. And when it comes to online gambling especially: people are looking for "online gambling," not "gambling." "Online gambling" is not only one of the top 25 most expensive Adwords keywords for 2017 but is also the most heavily searched term in the "gambling" category.

Now this particular domain merely lent itself to posting if I was in the mood given its history and quality, especially for the American market/industry, which I was, and I trust you see that it's being forwarded. However, I could have no nameservers set at all and have it not be resolving at all and it wouldn't change a thing about the intrinsic value. Or I could have it forwarding to an abstinence related site promoting gambling prohibition - no difference. In fact, the intrinsic value of the domain regardless of what is "seen" or what you "don't see" has only been increasing more and more these past years because of the positive changes I always expected to occur here in the US since the time this domain was being used more and used to be as valuable a (performing) asset as it already was.
