Anyone having success with Google+?

I think that you have to be careful about putting too much effort into Google+ since that effort will likely be better spent on Twitter and Facebook. With that having been said, it's probably better to have a moderate presence than nothing at all.

Agreed, I feel it is well worth having a Google+ page but any effort put into gaining traffic from it may not be worthwhile. I personally have found it very difficult to get any "real" traffic from G+ whereas putting the same amount of effort into gaining Facebook or Twitter followers tends to be a much more productive use of my time.

One thing that helps keep the G+ page going without expending too much extra effort for me personally is a combination of Hootsuite to schedule out posting and IFTTT recipes that allow me to post something in one place (eg: Twitter) and to have it posted on my Facebook and Google+ pages at the same time.

It really depends on countries: for example it little bit work for France or Canada, but "0 effect" for Russia or Eastern Europe

I think it is useful for boosting your brand name if you have created a separate business page. Hence it may help to boost your local SEO traffic

I have some really strange stats on google+ - as most others the authors on my sites are linked to google plus. One of my main authors has 12,1 million views on his google plus profile - although he has not 1 friend or follower... ?

My efforts on google+ however mainly focus on SEO - i never had interactions with any posts on google+

Can you elaborate?
For me, google+ is effective for increasing my site's online presence.
But I believe that not every social media (not specifically) are effective for all types of business niche.
So, it doesn't mean that if it not works for you it will not work for anybody.

I use all top-notch social networks regularly. It helps to get Google to index my website quickly. Crawlers get to the website via links, social networks post = new links (even though they're nofollow). I share posts everyday using Hootsuite, so no extra efforts or time needed to update social pages. G+ is among them.

Evidence suggest google + profiles get far more views than pages. As well as this views on google + are related to where on google + you share the information. Some of the groups on google + have upwards of 2 million members which can quickly increase your views f you share in these.

Google+ is almost a dead social media site. Without their iteration with other google apps is good as a dead site. Google should focus on how they can make their social media alive again. Facebook is eating so much of their market already.

according to my experience, Google plus is not good. It cannot increase website's visitors. Facebook is the best social media as compared to the others.
