What is the best way to increase youtube hits?

I've always wondered if those "Get 100,000 visitors for $5" type offers would work on a youtube video.

The best way to get lots of hits would probably be to make a really good video and try to bribe influencial social media people to promote it and hope it goes viral.

Google "Buy Traffic".. my pricing might be off but there are sites that do it. Just don't expect these visitors to do anything.
