Unfortunately Sherlock understands English and its nuances better than the late queen.

It is a move by Bet365 that makes ugly reading but perfect sense given they announced that they are exploring an exit strategy for the company. They've got to explain everything to the stock market and this takes some explaining given all their peers have ripped off affiliates, so why haven't they?

And unfortunately I was so dumb that I did not search for the possible sale news (which is everywhere). Now it's pretty clear what's going to happen, we've seen it before (and it wasn't good).

I don't want to say more, I just hope it will not be as bad as I imagine it will be.

I asked what the reason was and whether it could be avoided.

Sorry to hear that. Both accounts were inactive?

So they told you that will not pay your commission anymore for the players you already reffered? Or they will not allow you to promote them anymore? Did they told you a reason or some details ? When did you received this notice? And what are we going to do? I cannot belive something like this, the commission should be for life for the players reffered. Is hard to belive they will do something like this. Does anyone have more details? Anyone else here received this?

Interestingly, I just looked at the bet365 affiliates website and checked its terms and conditions and looked at all the pages there. I can now see no mention of the word 'lifetime' anywhere.

This was definitely something they used to use. Lifetime commissions was definitely a thing previously, but if they've removed it at some point, then that's telling in itself.

They changed from bet365affiliates to bet365partners.com around 2021.

I just looked back on the webarchive wayback machine and when they first
used bet365partners.com in 2021 it said on the front page:

"Earn 30% lifetime commission across all our products"

It now says in the same place:

"Earn commission across all our products"

I'll try and check back for when this changed.

So far, looking back, the "Earn 30% lifetime commission across all our products" was still there in Nov 2024.

Still checking for when it was removed.

OK so I completed my checks using the wayback machine.

The "Earn 30% lifetime commission across all our products" was still there on 1st April 2025.

Then on the next Wayback Machine save on 30th April 2025 it was removed and replaced with
"Earn commission across all our products" and all other mentions of lifetime commission were
    also removed.

So some time in April this year it was changed.

... and the first news about a possible sale were published in early May I guess?

Why even bother removing "lifetime" bait for new affiliates when you can scam them later, because they can do whatever they want by their T&C.

One thing I don't understand - couple of years ago bet365 sent me email notice about termination of affiliate marketing relationship. In that email there is the clearest possible indication of acknowledgment of my efforts and their will to honour future payments for already referred players.

Given the fact that relationship was terminated about two years ago, what governs our relationship now? Surely not their current T&C, but some sort of new binding agreement starting from that email notice?

So I am curious, how does bet365 explain their withdrawal from this agreement? Please someone share it.

I cannot login into my account since yesterday. Is this a part of the current actions? When I enter account information and click the login button, the website is loading 2 minutes then gives error "Try again" , if wrong information is entered, the website immediately shows "wrong username or password". What's happening?

It's not part of the plan, this happens on a regular basis for quite a while. Try to refresh and login again, try in a private tab (no cookies) and if it fails, wait and try again later.

Same for me. Unable to login for last 3 days. Just loads for a while then says no.

Same. I got a reply from them on this - it is just a bug affecting some accounts. So it's not connected to the closure of accounts. It is now working for me, so looks like they found a fix.

Speaking generally and not specific to Bet365, I am assured by a lawyer the term stating an affiliate program can change the terms whenever they like is legally farcical and would be struck out in court. However, nobody has ever taken any firms to court and seen it through to the end. That, despite literally every other UK sports betting affiliate program ripping off thousands of affiliates. May be no comfort, but Bet365 have historically behaved the best of all - everyone else stops paying when they stop you from promoting them.

I was having trouble logging in past 2 days. I emailed support before coming here and they have actually replied saying apologies delete cookies etc. They have not said anything about account closing and I can now log in fine.

Why they should explain something?! Its written in stone already.
T&C's are made to get easy rid of iall duty's otherwise they wouldnt make any sense form operator side.
