    Default Betfred T&C's

Just received the following ... short deadline so sharing

Recently, Betfred have updated their affiliate T&C's around how affiliates promote, and therefore we are having to ask all our affiliates to log in and accept the updated T&C's before Friday 4th November.

It should be a case of simply logging in and they should appear, however, if they do not appear please follow the following steps...

Go to marketplace >Betfred > Promote Casino > T&C text should appear at the top.

Yes, had this too recently - worth noting that if you promote multiple brands with them then you need to accept each individually using the process at the end of the message.

Did they make it easy for you and highlight what they've changed, or was this simply the full t&cs document to review again?

Full T&Cs only, although looked to me like stuff related to clarification around the marketing to under 18s/using images that may appeal to children type wording than anything commercial.

I can't believe programs as big as Betfred are still engaging that type of practice. This is easy stuff and there's no good reason not to make it easy for your partners to understand what you're changing. It is after all meant to be a partnership.....

This practice gives a good result, it seems that is why Betfred use it, I guess

I received this message months ago. Along with weak threats of closing my account if I did not declare all my websites. I'll really miss that £50 every six month

They’re as rogue as hell. They'll come up with any BS just to close down accounts and steal.. Liars and thieves.

To be fair, I've been with them from the start of my journey. Others that I started with are well gone. I've had little issues with them, however I have no intentions on carrying on down the UKGC route.

I remember the good old days when you could just rank a website. Google slowly put an end to that and ruined many sites. Then the UKGC came in and finished the job. It's not worth the 1 step forward 10 steps back nonsense these days.

I was considering making a site and completely avoiding bonuses. To avoid 90% of the nonsense. I don't think players are as into bonuses these days.

I guess that's fair enough, since you put it that way.

These guys still have a questionable reputation, though, in their dealings with both affiliates and players. I did some digging around and I found a thread here on the GPWA that's nearly a decade old, so they have a lengthy history of nonsense.

They all do, they all have to keep X amount of affiliates happy. I personally knew people in their offices, not business related. So I never had issues, but those days are well gone now.

I have spent numerous days trying to respond the Betfred Compliance however they block any emails even though they include their email in there footers.

No one will actually talk to you to discuss issues and only threaten to close your account. They hide behind their emails.

T&C's are interpretations that an organization use and in the case of Betfred do NOT fully aligned with "regulations". Some compliance departments really need to get a better understanding of the business.
