It seems very wierd it is nearly ten years to the day since September 11 attacks and they get Bin laden but to accomodate the Muslim faith he gets buried at sea within 24 hours. Basically I think the entire thing is a publicity stunt and a bit of BS. DNA sample compared to what? Have they got some of his old DNA on record? I strongly doubt it. A person happened to be there in Pakistan twittering about the events as it happens in English. Once again this is BS. It is convient for the US to say he is dead and move on. They needed him alive for all these years to justify war. Now they do not need that justification because of the up-rising in the middle east which once again the US had a hand in and kept very quite about it.

We should all try to think for ourselves and not follow the hurd here. Do not be taken in on some great hollywood style cover-up.

They said on CNN last night his sister died of cancer in 2009 and USA got court order to preserve her brain for DNA match if/when they caught Osama.

So he's not dead and Bin Laden makes a video proving he is still alive! It's not lie he wouldn't know if the US was claiming to have killed him. Think he might have heard about that by now??

And sure, the all powerful USA managed to get ppl from countries like Syria and Egypt and Libya to go on an uprising against their dictatorship governments, risking their lives b/c someone from the US said they should. Wow, we need to use this omnipotence more often.

For many years, the US has been despised in Muslim countries, but all of a sudden, these same people would do what the US says to do, besides the fact that US policy, over the course of time, has supported many dictatorships.

As President Obama took pains to make clear, this was not an attack upon Islam, it was getting retribution upon a scumbag sociopath, who represented only a small group of unstable cult extremists, not unlike the followers of Asahara in Japan, and other similar groups.

I heard on the radio this morning that they are being "encouraged" to release a photo of the dead body. Apparently there was one put out but it was a fake.

I also noticed that they said they killed him a week ago and kept the news quiet until they did DNA testing.. So why is his date of death being marked then as May 1st? A week ago would be in April sometime, no?

Personally I'm not a fan of the death penalty and generally I don't think people really deserve to die for their crimes, but I think a person who kills so many with no sense of remorse and the intent to do further harm deserves to have the same fate as the people he has killed.

I don't think the US government would make such a "positive" identification of Osama if they didn't "really" have his body. Not because
they are beyond lying, we all know they are not....but for them to declare that he is dead, and they had the body as proof, they would not take the chance of a "live" Osama appearing a few years down the road alive and well, showing the entire world their crookedness. If they are saying he is dead, i believe that, may not be how he died, but dead he is.

I couldn't believe it when I read the news that they finally killed him. He was definitely going to get caught eventually, the reward money hanging over his head was too big! Nice to hear justice has been served.

IMO, the media will make you believe, what they want you to believe in. Works on most people, just ask plastic surgeons. As for Bin Laden he was a product of the American CIA, a tool if you would call it. I still believe 9/11 was an inside job, for a greater cause, like pursuing terrorists(understand bomb for oil).

Anyways, him being alive or dead never affected my life,no point to pay attention to such fact or fiction. It's just a distraction, this is why I only sports channels on my TV, never watch news or listen to radio.

However this is way to convenient, the worlds most wanted man is killed whilst Obama has an all time low popularity and simply buried in the sea straight away? No, I smell a fish.

I think he is dead, Obama would not risk making such a huge claim if he wasn't. My bet is riding on the theory that he has been dead for a while, the news release has just been perfectly timed for political benefit.

At this point it does not look like they will be releasing the photo of him shot in the head (which I agree with), but may release the one of him being buried at sea.

I have to say that IF he is not dead and does release a tape then I will EAT a TURBIN, video tape it and post it.

No matter what they release there will be folks that won't believe it. At this point does it really matter that we see proof? IMO to show those photos will place us in unnecessary danger as they are already PO'd!

Thousands of people were killed including my brother in the world trade center. We have our own beliefs also and were never given this opportunity. Many others including very religious people had there lives stripped away and he gave no thought or compassion to their beliefs.

Regardless of religious beliefs this man deserved no respectful burial let alone anyone respecting what religion or laws he comes from. If it was me, and I am not a nasty person. I would humiliate any belief he had and i would have personally made him die very slowly and very painfully. He got off very very easy.

Personally, I think there is almost no room for doubt about the fact that he is dead. Now as regards the how, when and where that's another matter entirely. Here again I am of the opinion that Obama/the US would not have made the statement if there was the most teeny-weeny-itsy-bitsy chance of the guy making a video saying "Hey! I'm alive WTF???"

The reasons behind the quick burial at sea also make sense. Forget the part about respecting Islam's traditions - (1) As I explained in a previous post there is more to it than the 24 hr part and (2) I say a monster like him who went against everything the real Islam stands for does not deserve that courtesy - but the idea to avoid his place of burial becoming a shrine is a good one.

IMO, they got the guy for sure... but I am not so sure if they really killed him. If I was one of the US leaders fighting against terrorism, Osama has more value alive than dead, because they can extract information from him regarding his organization. (even with torture, what the hell, he deserves to be tortured). I think Osama is alive, somewhere on a US warship, instead of swimming together with some sharks... I am not saying by any mean that he is doing fine ...
