Google says its getting ready to release a new version on the English language.

Unlike the first couple versions this update wil be language based rather than regional.

This update specifically targets scraper sites and is based on archived data so unfortunately there is no advice here, just start restructuring your templates and pruning off the weak pages, especially those with no back links.

I would also use MajesticSEO's back link tool and look at your sites profile against your competition. Deep linking (but not over doing it) has proven beneficial as well.

For those with non-US/UK sites brace yourselves because this is having noticeable differences on 1 out of 4 (or so) websites.

For the benefit of those that haven't seen my other Panda post; get the ads off the front page. Unless you are making a ton of the index page ads its potentially affecting your rankings. Especially if you have multiple ads. At the very least put a nofollow tag on the link.

Those of you that have been working hard creating fresh and usable content can now use the tag=author to claim your content. Google is most likely using this in the Panda update as well and watching those actively scraping.

Lastly, the +1 button is definitely a ranking factor to consider. It may take a while to figure out how much influence a truly viral accumulation of these 'votes' impacts highly competitive markets like the gaming industry.
