    Hello Judy my sweet friend,

I will miss not seeing you this year but for health reasons it can't be helped, but i have promised Peter and now yourself, that i will work hard at getting myself healthy again so i can attend next year....me and Peter have one hell of a date planned! lol

Seeing Lou pass away from his health issues have light a fire under my ass, and hopefully i can get myself off oxygen with some good living.

Wish me luck and have a wonderful event, and have a toast for me!!

I would also like to say what a great time I had. The conference was put together with the precision of a watch maker. Just the right amount of work time and the right amount of play time. The food was fantastic (but as casinobonusguy wrote) I needed a big salad last night.

    til next year

    Hi All
I just want to say that I really enjoyed the weekend.
It was really great to meet affiliate managers and affiliates alike in such an intimate setting.

The speakers were entertaining and informative and I learned a lot during the weekend.

I also found out yesterday that I won a laptop at the CBG weekend which was the icing on the cake.

    Looking forward to next year!

For anyone who missed the CBG affiliate weekend, know that you missed a very good event and one that you should put next years calendar now for July 15-18, 2011.

Judy, Dean, Todd and Tracy please accept my sincere thanks for a great weekend. I had a lot of good conversations - I really enjoy the relaxing pace of a smaller more intimate conference where it is easier to have more in-depth conversations that are not so rushed. Having time together as a group including breakfast, lunch, dinner and the game room in the evening makes this weekend a lot different than the other conferences I attend.

And I have to say I found Leslie's SEO presentations valuable - I learned a few new tricks from her on the SEO front. And I enjoyed the talk by Amcan on his experience as an affiliate and by Simon Eaton on the sports betting marketplace.

Plus the presentations by the affiliate programs were interesting and informative. In fact, I even understand my 15 year old daughter, Emma, who listened intently through all of the affiliate manager presentations was putting out facebook status messages about what she thought was most noteworthy. So CBG affiliate weekend can add a claim to fame for influencing the next-generation of affiliates.

    Great job!

    Thanks,

    Michael

Thanks everyone for the kind words and help to pull off another great event. It was very difficult to be the first one up and last one to bed the past four days but you guys made it all worth while. We really felt this year was a big improvement over last year in terms of the presentations but we are always looking to improve things as we grow so in that respect I would also like to receive some private feed backs too.
Anthony From Fortune wants us to add a BBQ in a park next year so we can see more of the area ,others have asked about doing a wine tour and have the program managers do the speaking on the bus hahaha.

Well i place my thanks and encouragement for others to join us next year on the chatter thread, hoping everyone will see it.

I want to thank Judy and Dean and the family member (i lost track they have a huge family) who baked the cake for my Canadian Citizenship ceremony. It was both fun and touching at the same time.

i can't figure out how to get a properly sized photo of the cake uploaded

Default Trip Report - CBG Affiliate Weekend

First off, I would like to extend my appreciation to Judy and the rest of the gang at CBG for once again putting together such a great event. The presentations were informative and entertaining, the food was amazing, and the evenings in the party room were a blast. This year was even bigger and better than last! I didn't think you could make it any better but you somehow managed to pull it off.

I also want to thank all the sponsors. You folks ROCK!! It's so cool to see eight or nine competing programs work together to provide such a top notch event. It's also important to acknowledge how laid back the weekend was. Although the sponsors were there to do business there was no pressure.

From a personal perspective, I love the intimate nature of this event. Dale and I had time to sit down with each program representative, to discuss business of course, but to also get to know the folks on a more personal level. Many of the reps also joined us at the poker table in the party room, giving us another opportunity to get to know them.

As President of the GAU, it is important that I have a good working relationship with the folks who represent the programs and this weekend proved a success on that front. I had some great conversations and made many new friends in addition to renewing a number of old friendships.

It was a pleasure seeing Wayne and Anthony from Fortune Affiliates again this year. You guys are a class act. It's easy to see why Judy has such high praise for you and your program.

Colin Anderson from Unibet is another veteran from last year who is always fun to spend time with. We didn't get as much one on one time as I would have liked but we'll be in touch soon my friend.

I owe Marcia and Shelley of Brightshare an apology. We were supposed to meet on Friday afternoon but we got tied up in traffic and missed our appointment. As a result, we did not have as much time to talk as I would have liked but rest assured, we will do business this year.

Dan and Falko from Betway were awesome. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to chat with you guys and want to personally thank both of you for listening to my rant. And I want to also thank Dan for following up already.... I got your email this morning and will definitely be getting in touch.

It was a pleasure meeting Justin from Slotland affiliates as well. Justin spent a couple hours with us over the weekend and he was incredibly patient as I bombarded him with questions. Plus his accent is so cute, Dale wanted to adopt him and bring him home with her.

There may be a theme running here.... Dale also wanted to bring Daniel home with her. Daniel represents Affactive and according to her he's adorable. Hmmmm, I better keep my eye on her! If she has her way, I'll need a bigger house. Affactive sent three reps to the event so they were well represented and once again, we were impressed with the laid back nature of the weekend. We had several conversations with these guys and not once did they try the "hard sell" on us.

Simon Eaton had a full plate. In addition to representing BetOnLine, he gave a very interesting talk on the sports betting market. Simon also kept us entertained with his mis-adventures while traveling in the US. BTW - I got your email Simon and will follow up. I'm looking forward to working with you!

Last, but not least, the team from Gr88 were awesome! Riley, Jason and Kris hosted the poker tournament on Friday night plus they hung out with us and played poker each night.

Did I mention the food? Oh my god! I'm sure I put on 20 pounds in 4 days! By Saturday evening I was so full that I couldn't drink!

Judy and Dean did a fantastic job of hosting the weekend and making all of us feel like VIP's.

    Thank you guys!!

Thanks for everything Terry ,it would never be the same without you and Dale , you forgot to post about Dale's Air Hockey skills lol.The sponsors were awesome this year ,I will put together a proper reply on behalf of all of us later in the week but I was so impressed with all managers .

Wayne bought Dean and Myself a little gift , Mine was engraved with 'Mom' and Dean's with 'Dad'.He stayed with us a full week and my girls always wanted a brother and now they feel like they do!Now I have the task to find my new 'Son' a Canadian wife and move him over here LOL .Next year we will have a link so you can all send photos of your unmarried candidates lol.

I have not worked with Sean from Affactive for a long time but I can say their conversions and retention have to be in my top 3 for RTG Brands.I got a good feeling from him from beginning and normally I do not accept new programs less than 2 years old but I am very happy i bend the rules from time to time and follow my gut.

As for the gr88 guys I have been running some games with them on a poker site and very happy with the support they give us with our private tournaments. They are a lot of fun , next year we will get Jason to sing for us !

Default Thinking about next year already!

I got an email today from somebody i met last weekend at the Falls, they pointed out that if we went as a group to Casino Niagara they would get us free transportation and free daily buffet options and probably a great room discount.I know most of us are gamblers ,one guy was showing off his $5000 casino chips all weekend and I am ashamed to say how much money the Button family left behind lol.Should we try staying at the casino hotel next year ,that is what i am debating now so please give me some feedback

    Judy
