Does the hotel offer conference facilities?
Will we be able to have a private party/games room?

I think you'll find there are many of us who would rather not go to the casino. We enjoy the quieter, less hectic atmosphere that the Hilton provides and anyone who wants to gamble in the casino can easily walk across the street. Plus, the folks showing off their $5k casino chips can obviously afford the Hilton

    Just my 2 cents.

    I agree with Poker Keep

Although I live just down the road (so didnt need to stay at the Hilton) - I liked the quieter more laid back aspect of the Hilton itself.

There were less distractions and it made networking a little easier.

And as stated before you just have to walk across the bridge if you wish to go to the Casino.

we have games room , conference facilities etc at the casino hotel too.Just exploring some options here. There were a few 'house keeping' issues this year with Hilton that I did not like and the casino hotel is more accommodating to the international travelers and give early check in .

I think either one could be fine, and I'd strongly support whichever one "supports" the conference better and makes your life easier. And if the casino offers a better deal on room rates, then that would be a strong incentive to prefer the casino in my book.

    Hi guys
I saw that the CBG weekend is being held in June 2011, - http://egamingsociety.com/tag/cbg-affiliate-weekend/ - is that correct?
Would love to attend again as I had a fab time last year and met some really great people.

If anyone can please let us know dates (if we have them yet) I will put it on my calendar as a must attend event!
    Regards

Just saw this now, but from whenever I have looked in the past the casino hotel is either crazy expensive (like $400 per night for a basic room) or sold out. I guess you could host the events there, but it would be nice if there were a cheaper alternative also (or we could just book our own hotels?).

We are keeping it at the Hilton ,the fees the others are charging not even close. It was an idea but after we checked 4-5 options it became obvious we already have the best deal for that time of year.

You can stay where ever you like but the Hilton has strict policies about serving Alcohol to people who are not staying in the hotel so if you enjoy the beverages in games room they CAN cut you off after 3 if not staying there. Also you will miss out on having breakfast with us !

Very tempted to go to this, instead of Dublin. Will it be family friendly or is it just purely work?

It's a shame its mid July for me. I came last year and loved it, but flights from Europe at this time of year are stupidly expensive. Anyone nearby should definitely check it out.

I'm looking forward to getting together again. This will be my 3rd time at the CBG weekend and it's always fun and relaxed, which for me is the best part.

    Hey All,

I have been involved with sponsoring the CBG conference now for the third year, and would recommend this to anyone or any potential sponsor thinking of coming.

Its not an overly huge event but great for networking and socializing, and doing a little business while relaxing and having a few drinks!

    Colin
