Content per page
I have lots of pages with 1000 + words on my site of unique content should I break these pages down into more. I don't normally think about this but just let the articles flow. What do you advise as amount of words per page?
Thanks

400-700 seems to work in range

Personally, I'd rather read a well-written page of content with 1000 words than have to keep following links to 300 word 'next sections' etc
So long as the content is broken up with section headers so that it's scannable and skimmable, and the number of characters per line isn't too large, people have no problem scrolling down through content pages - they do it all the time on blogs.
There are issues with keyword density to consider as well. Of course, we all write for visitors primarily, but there's nothing wrong with attracting the search engines at the same time!

i agree with fortune palace, id rather have an article that flows rather than users having to browse through to next section etc

Yup... More pages = more shots at goal... But more words = more shots for that page. If you make your readers happy by getting the content they want in front of their face (not more, not less), I think you come out ahead.
