    Default Copied by pcower.com

After discovering a Japan based website that 100% copied Poker Player US down to the last word, I was successful in getting the site shut down. I did a whois on the site and found the hosting service, called them and they emailed me a form to complete and email back. Now when you go to the copycat the site is suspended.

Do I need to also report it to the search engines or will it drop off the ranks soon? I discovered this by searching unique, cant find it anywhere else content at Google within "" i.e. "my content" I was sure glad to have found it and get it shut down. The funny thing was the moron never changed any links, he just removed the url's from the banners and text links.

Good for you Chips. It's a constant battle with these thieves. I would think that it will drop off the engines naturally but there are some experts here that might know better.

I've seen this a lot where the tags stay the same. I don't understand that unless they just haven't gotten around to changing them. I had one idiot copy my tracker along with the rest of my site. Made it pretty easy to find.

I think the best part of it all was he did not change the alt tag in my logo and also missed the words "Poker Player US" in the disclaimer. Hope it made his day when he went to his site and saw the splash of "This account has been suspended, contact Support immediately"

Way to go Chips! Good job on getting the site shut down. I had a round with a copy cat two months ago, and I was also able to put an end to it.

FYI, the site was on Hostmonster/Bluehost. They were very courteous and helpful in getting the bad boy banished.
