I like the color scheme Martin52. There's a couple things..I think that maybe I would change the heading. The title appears over a banner and the words get jumbled. Also, from my view it's not centered and everything is to the left. It may be the 468 banners at the bottom that puts it off track for me.

It loads fast on my dial up and that's a good thing.

I think the site looks great. I love the color scheme.

The only negative I saw was the links pages (8 in total). Most of the links are non-gambling and in my opinion they detract from the effectiveness of the site. The links will probably have a negative impact on your SEO efforts as well.

I also think your site looks nice and neat.

    few remarks:

    1. "The title appears over a banner and the words get jumbled" - it is fixed once i opened the IE on the entire screen.

    2. I would get rid of the words "games" and "game" form the keywords, will attract traffic who looks for games.

I did an f11 and still overlapped. It could just be me and my view.

Looks good and best of luck!

    Positives:

    Site loads very quickly.
    It's a nice clean design.
    Ads are not intrusive.
    Colour scheme is fairly neutral.

    Negatives:

Home page has a lot of text in one block. You need to divide down the paragraphs and add in some sub-headings to help 'scanners and skimmers' find what they're interested in.

Your copy is a little awkward (eg the page on winning Blackjack). You need to read it through and punctuate it a little better to make the meaning clearer.

May be a personal thing, but sites that confuse 'your' (possessive) and 'you're' (you are) don't give me the impression of quality. In that respect, your opening paragraph loses me straight away.

Just my opinions - no offence meant!

Design is terrible. Look`s like doorway. A lot of advert is bad IMHO.

If this is one of your first sites your on the right track. Good job so far.

    Here's what I recommend changing:
Your text block on the right has a dark blue background which makes it hard to read. Try a white background to lighten it up and make it easier to read.

The banners on the left column remind me of the banner pages or doorway pages. I get the impression that this may have worked 5 years ago, but not so much anymore.

Your doing great, keep it up.

I like the overall design, its nice and clean and clearly displays all the information you need. You are really getting off to a great start.

As for improvement, I would probably make the in-text links a little more obvious by chnaging the colour. There is not enough contrast between the link text and the normal text in my opinion.

I think you may be relying too much on the banner ads to get sign-ups. I would try and write some reviews and a handful of the top casinos and such and put your affiliate links in those reviews. You are far more likely to get a conversion on a review page than you will on a content page splashed with lots of different casino banners.

I would probably add a few more images to the site. For example, instead of having a random banner in each page of content, why not exchange it for a relevant image to accompany the article? It does not have to add too much to the article, just any image that might compliment it nicely. For example, on my site I have little custom clipart-style images to accompany the majority of my articles, eg. xhttp://www.thepokerbank.com/taking-player-notes.html

I think it would also be nice to get a header or logo to help brand the site. Just to make the site more recognizeable, because after leaving the site it probably wouldn't leave much of an imprint in my mind.

But overall I think the site is really great, and you are off to a great start. Just keep adding content, work on seo and tweaking and you shoudl do well.

I would divide up the homepage into different sections, maybe even blocks. The purpose of these sections would be to give a little snippet of information about what else your site offers within some of the internal pages. It will help break up the long winded text on the homepage. People generally have short attention spans online and breaking up the text into smaller sections, can help people find what they want more quickly.

While color schemes are personal preferences, I would brighten up the homepage a bit. The site looks a tad drab with the dark blue, black and gray. Perhaps try a white background with a light blue center section and a fresher looking navigation.

That's just my opinion however, and you may like those colors. I typically believe that visitors don't like a totally dark color scheme.

    Best of luck.

    Mark
