What are you referring too? It's interesting to note that there isn't an option to delete your account.I have seen enough of this political correctness at the expense of hard working webmasters.
You can't delete an account but you should be able to have it closed.
I do agree that the owners of this forum seem to be missing in action over the past year. They seem to be happier starting trivial non gambling related threads and not engaging with the rest of the GPWA community when it matters.![]()

Interesting to note that the request for the account to be closed was handled even though a number of people speculating the request was not taken care of.

No one speculated in this thread that the request was not handled. The only speculation is that Michael has disconnected with his community.

I don't mean this to sound confrontational, but I'm just interested to know - what exactly do you expect from the Michael/ the owners?
As far as I can see the foundations of a decent forum have been laid, and it is moderated like any other forum, is it not our responsibility as much as anyone else's to make it more engaging?
And for what it's worth I think the original poster should have elaborated more. That's just me though, i'm a nosy bugger
Well, I would be the first to say I have not been as directly involved in the forum this year. As I have mentioned in a few threads, we are in the midst of a very time consuming move. That move is taking up almost all of my time. Here are a couple of relevant threads:
GPWA Website Datacenter Move and Planned Downtime
How many times have you moved in the past 25 years?
During this time period I am depending even more than I normally do on the good work of other staff members to provide the love and care the GPWA requires to thrive.

His account has been deactivated, so he cannot speak to that. For me, I can say that when he was establishing himself in the industry, he was very outspoken and a leader. Now, he shows up once a week before his email newsletter goes out, as well as at the beginning of the month to post his robotic lists, and rarely gets himself involved in any issues (sponsor program or not) unless the sponsor money needs protected.
So for me, I expect that he take the blinders off and address the issues important to the membership and get involved. The sponsors are here due to the membership.

With all due respect to GPWA and all affiliates that post here .. I'm sure Michael and his Team are trying their hardest to keep GPWA at a level we all know and love so lets at least give them the benifit of the doubt here and let them get there house in order before everyone decides now is time to jump this place is the only home of gaming left really outside of Casinomeister and one or 2 other sites but its GPWA mostly isn't it these days ?
On the flip side Michael and Team GPWA i have seen numerous threads going on and on and many pages over like the Brightshare one and the Star Partners one and and and... there are many too many to name and this is where you guys are im afraid failing your readers and members this is hwere you need to be more like the Bryan's of the world at Casinomeister and start to look at taking a more strong handed approach to programs that are getting away with underhanded things if the investigations have been done and you have found in favor of affiliates then its right you take action whatever that be .. Stop the bad element from bring down your house as im afraid that may be the case if you dont take action against these sorts .. My 2 cents anyways would hate to see you fall you have great people and a great team but start standing for your principles again and banish those that need it
The silence is deafening here, it's like the Firebrand thread. Firebrand has been shut down for months now and still owe affiliates... but hey GPWA still has them listed as a Gold Sponsor! https://www.gpwa.org/forum/no-pay-no...se-225649.html
https://www.gpwa.org/affiliate-progr...and-affiliates
The "Code of Conduct" for affiliate sponsors at the GPWA don't mean a damn thing!

Hello TheGamblingGuru,
after four years, since this month, Firebrand is no longer GPWA sponsor. All Firebrand content, all scandals and all open questions were transported into the dungeon, the former sponsor area of this forum.
The reason, that they are no longer GPWA sponsor is not a suspension, their scandals or their continiously breaking the code of conduct over months.
The simple reason is, that they don't renewed the Gold sponsor contract.
There were many signs in the last months, that this will happen.
So why protecting the webmasters from Firebrand if the contract will end in some months?
The destiny of a webmaster obviously is: She/he should don't make such a fuss.

I would like to have my account closed not only because I had an unapproved posting for bad365 but also the path of ....... ( you can fill in the blanks) this forum has gone.
Good luck to all
I reported your last post about bet365, because you were telling they are thieves. They are one of few consistent companies. The worst that I saw here was one affiliate with a big run of one players into positive, which does not mean a lot. I have seen bad players consistently winning for months. There are also good players who actually just win long term, I was one of them.Bet365 just said they want no action from certain affiliates and they did it for a known reason.
So if you need to blame someone as always, do not blame bet365 or GPWA. Blame me.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.
GCG (26 May 2018)
First I'd like to say, there should not be a need for any "blame" to be pointed at any GPWA Member.
While Sherlock was the first member to report the post and make us aware of the possibility of something we should take a look at (we thank all members for doing this), the decision to unapprove the post was made by us. We based this decision on the fact that the post contained an unfounded accusation about an operator.
GCG your account has been closed per your request.

Actually... (not too many bet365 affiliates are likely aware of this story) however...
Bet365 back-dated its T&C's (and was busted). It did this to stop a bona fide payout of AU$73,000.
That full news story is here:
https://www.todaytonightadelaide.com.au/stories/bet-365
So bet365 are thieves (scammers)...just sayin
And we all know, if a gaming venue will cheat its players/punters, then it's just as likely, to do the same, to its affiliate partners.
