Duplicated guest post with backlink

Here's a new one. A guest post I made on a decent site, incl. backlink, has been picked up by another 'media' website in its entirety and re-published (albeit with a reference .... i.e. this article originally appeared in domain.com).

Could this de-value the original backlink?

I don't think so. It would only affect the re-published version of that backlink.

its common for rss readers and news sites to republish, i have never seen anything negative and have had some articles republished 30+ times

Personally I've experienced the same thing a couple of times, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't affect the backlink juice from the original domain.

I have had this happen before too. However, I don't think it had any positive effect whatsoever. Penny for your thoughts?

If there's any effect for your backlink, it will only be positive. Otherwise, no effect. Surely, not negative.

If there's an effect or not, depends on many factors, but again, no issues for you, it's mainly a problem for the copying and/or copied website
