Default exercise/fitness/training - anyone taking part

There was a weight loss thread before so wondered who was still training?

Had a few months off myself but started again now after I hit 14st.

Been running and cycling to shed the belly fat and going gym as well to hit the weights.

Started tracking on mapmyrun so thought if anyone else was training as well we could all share the results on there with each other to help keep everyone motivated

who's up for it? PM me and I'll send me details on there

I'm still training. Thought everyone else dropped off the bandwagon so didn't post anymore.

I'm down to between 18-19% body fat now. My abs are visible on odd days. I've just been doing a body sculpting program. The next 3 month phase is about to start on Monday so I should definitely reach my goal by the end of it, if not much earlier.

I do have mapmyrun/runkeeper/myfitnesspal. Am happy to add friends if it will help with motivation
    Will PM you details.

nice one, got back into reasonable shape after my trip to Oz/NZ/Sing but had a lapse due to a few things and hit the booze a lot so got my beer gut back.

kept a decent protein diet going though so haven't lost too much strength in the arms and chest, just not the endurance strength

having a rest day today but still might take my bike out for a short spin later

Yup, got my weight to about the best it's been since I was 17! Want to get the bodyfat down to less than 20% which is really the basic it should be for health - about 22.5% at the moment. The problem is that every week, fortnight, month or whatever, there is always a massive weekend where I just drink and eat far too much. Think any of the bookies will be giving away salads and protein shakes at LAC?

    Hi,
As I mentioned before I lost 19 kilos by just walking and watching what I eat, but now I've been looking for easy exercises that I can do in order to get definition and so I found static exercises.

I really hate floor exercises, but this type of floor exercises look less harsh than the classic ones.

    See link for some videos:

Im probably in the worst shape of my life, I busted my shoulder diving in to the shallow end of a pool in ibiza 2 years ago. up until then I was about 14st6 and about 12-14% body fat which i was happy with. Now I'm about 13st10 but with about 20% body fat.

In fact this thread give me the kick up the a* I needed to book an appointment about my shoulder.

Fortunately I have found it is easier to maintain than to lose it

During summer I ride my bike to/from work as much as I can. There are a lot of people in our office who ride every day. One guy rides from 30km away.
    What kinda bike you got?

I'm about 2 weeks in to Insanity, and the name really describes the program, first week was hell but starting to settle in to it now. It's awesome for fat burning and improving fitness.

That looks very similar to crossfit (ufff) you must be really fit to be able to do these type of exercises. It would have been great if you would have taken a before pic and then compare it with an after pic.

I have a before picture so I will post it in 48 days if it works ( 12 done! ) . I do have age on my side at 22 so should be able to finish it barring any injuries!

I know what you mean, my son is 16 and he is doing crossfit; he managed to get to top level in just few sessions. I was thinking to join him, but I think that is a bit too hardcore for me.

I look forward to the before and after pics!

    You can do it Maria!
Don't let age be a barrier. The only thing stopping you is you

A lot of the people who do my program switch between it and insanity. Apparently it is friggin awesome.

Can't wait to see your progress pics!

Yes! This is what I am doing. I do brisk walking and just stay away from junk food and soda. I am going to join a gym to start swimming but I want to keep up the brisk walking so I do not get overwelmed!

You are doing the right thing, coz with the walking you lose kilos slowly and the gym will help you speed up the process and toned up.

I love to see and hear when people take charge of their bodies and take action in order to have a healthy and happier life!
