With much regret, the Extrabet Affiliate team wanted to update you on the current situation with our client facing business and what this means for our affiliates. Extrabet will be selling existing Extrabet clients to Spreadex, this does not encompass affiliates and therefore will not result in the selling of any affiliate’s referred player sign ups to Extrabet.

As of June 23rd at 10pm, however, affiliate’s players will not be able to place a bet with extrabet.com and therefore after final settlements are made, there will be no more commissions accrued. Extrabet will be honouring all affiliate commissions owed which are accrued in June (up to June 23rd), and all payments for June commissions will be paid within the first 15 days of July. We recommend removing your Extrabet affiliate banners and links as of today. We’re deeply saddened by this turn of events; we have appreciated affiliate support throughout our partnerships and are thankful for the many relationships formed over the years.

Empathy regarding the position this has put affiliates in is well understood by Extrabet staff as they too must deal with these current events.

Thanks for the update. Thankfully (I guess) we didn't have any currently rev generating users so apart from spending time putting content up there is no major damage.

Thoughts foremost are with the Extrabet staff, all whom i have met have been amazing. Big shame as the company itself was pretty profitable and growing well.

If anyone needs some high quality staff be it affiliate (Ed and Dione are highly recommended) or traders etc. then go looking at Extrabet quick before they get snapped up.

From an affiliate point of view its yet another example of the risks we take when agreeing rev share deals. I believe we, OLBG.com, were one of their largest affiliates in terms of acquisitions and for us, fortunately we are able to front load a lot of our deals with tenancies, cpas. But even so I think we will lose out on a good few k on this.

The way, as i understand it, they seem to be selling non affiliate customers to spreadex and just closing accounts for affiliate customers indicates a way in which many affiliate programs merging or selling players etc could avoid any issues with regards ongoing payments to affiliates.

So another example of the pros of cpas in the cpa v rev share debate!

Those are some very kind words. You're absolutely right, Dione and Ed are at the top of what they do, and I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to work with and learn from both of them. It was very sad for us at IA yesterday to learn of this news.
