I was under the impression the what'sapp deal is NOT done yet.

I agree that one of the big selling points of what'sapp has been their anonimity, but I question if that will suddenly disappear if the deal does go through.

I have read a number of articles and posts that suggest they are only buying it since they consider them one of their larger competitors, as well as the fact that this gets them into a few more markets where they have a little less reach.

I haven't made a decision yet as to my opinion whether this sale is good for consumers as i do not think all the facts are in yet.

albeit i recognize value to the watsapp thing, we cant keep a serious face towards the 19bl price, i mean is watsapp more valuable than a brand like Ralph Lauren, United Continental or American Airlines? seriously? because none of those has a market cap of 19bl.... in my country we call this **** making fun of the poor...

Although the airlines are huge in terms of sales, many are bleeding funds so it may be.

These deals need to be done based on profits, assests and potential profit, not percieved market value based on stock prices.
