LOL, could be a loaded question!

Whats your favorite appliance or gadget and why?

Mine would have to be my air conditioner, i would be a major "bitch" without it in the summer! Getting hot and sweaty, without sex being involved is not my idea of good day! lol

right now its the 32" sony flat screen I bought on the 4th because my 14 month old 19" samsung blew out due to a power outage most likely caused by the thunder storms passing through.

of course the 19" had a 12 month warranty.

I am getting of the age where i do not understand how gadgets work so i think all is lost for me now!

Mind you, i would rather gadgets fell of the agenda than the other!

Non-electronic it would be my Wolfgang Puck stick mixer, handy lil bugger has a blender, wire wisp and small food processor, it has taken the place of many tasks I used to drag out the Kitchenaid stand mixer for. Prep time and clean up is cut to a fraction of the old way.

Best dang thing I ever bought. <--- notice the word "bought"

slotplayer, of course the warranty expired "before" the thunderstorms showed up and killed the damn tv. Mother Nature has such a sense of humor!

{i would input a "sex" statement here for Chalkie, but can't think of one to go with "flat screen tv"?] LOllll

Well at least now we have a nice "big" screen to watch our movies on while eating "sharp" cheddar cheese, crackers, and margaritas!

What is a "wolfgang puck"? what does it do, how does it do it, and where can i get it?

I am always up for a new "gadget"....does it come with a vibrator? [added that in for chalkie] LOLLL

I'm not really a gadget person but do have my eye on an iPhone. I do though have a little voice recorder which I find invaluable when I have an idea for an article, etc, and I'm away from my office.

Now thats a great idea! It must come in so handy, i forget things all the time, even when there good ideas, so if i don't write them down there gone with the wind....i will have to look into getting me one of those little recorders! Thanks Dooley.

I love Bluetooth. Having a voice activated, hands free phone in my car is the coolest and safest thing ever!

On a more primitive note - my gas bbq gets an A+ for convenience at this time of year... couldn't live without it!

I would have to say mine is anything I have that plays music..

I have an ipod dock speaker thingo (which unfortunately has half died due to beach volleyball and sand getting into it), my ipod (which I actually hate the brand of, but it does the job), my laptop, my external hard drive, my PC, my car, my phone...
Where does it end?
I can't live without music.

I view A/C as a classic appliance, so it's anything but a gadget to me. 25 years ago it was the ATM, waiting at the bank was a drag.

Today, my iPhone. Macbook and wireless modem(only works in urban canada) makes me mobile and productive, something i've been trying to do well for about 7 years now. The iphone is really the star of the show, a phone, gps, browser, computer and game platform all in one.

You might could do a modification, but it would be rather messy, this is one powerful appliance. Wolfgang Puck is a gourmet, has his own show and of course cookware line. The mixer is discontinued, I oicked it up when I worked at Big Lots for a great price... You just switch between processor, mixer or wisp. Makes gravy in seconds

lol... mine is not the usual type of gadget, but here goes anyway...my favourite appliance or Gadget is my defribulator.. Ive had it since 2002 and its shocked the SH*** out of me a few time when my heart starts doing stupid things..

Only reason i like it, even though it hurts, is that it has kept me alive.

I think its a good gadget... next would have to be my cellphone, keeps me more organised and has reminders...lol

Woah!!! That sounds a bit rough. Do you have a weak heart or something? That sounds really scary to use a defibulator on yourself. i thought only doctors and stuff could use those.....

Hi,

Topboss, i believe he may have one "built" in to his chest, it shocks the heart back into normal rhythm when it starts to beat irregular. It really is a great invention and a big life saver.
