Well, you could do a case study of some of the members of this very forum who... how shall we say... post a lot for backlinks and don't get them naturally from other places. You could then look and see if they post in other forums for signature backlinks. And if they do, you could then research their respective websites to see if they rank for any quality terms, get any traffic, are doing well, etc.
My guess is that you'd find that forum links aren't all that effective. However, I'd suggest doing the research yourself... I could be angling you to keep you away from our magic cocktail of front page rankings! Muahahahaha

I think it only has got an effect of increasing the total number of backlinks pointing to your site.
But as "Quality is much more important than quantity!" I can not assume a direct positive contribution to your rankings.
To sum up; I also recommend you to test it yourself.

I agree with this statement "Google ignore bad links and don't count it.".
I also think and (want to believe) that Google penalizes the sites which copy the content from another.
I mean Google should understand the original creator of the content easily. Am I wrong?

Forum links are good for potential business opportunities and that's it, comment spam and forum links are worthless SEO wise Google has got pretty good after 2 decades of people still using the same spammy practices

In 2017 i do many forumProfile link >>>Ranking increase <<<
But 2018 I do everyting same 2017 domain >>>Google penalty<<<
My theory is that most likely the rank increase you saw in 2017 had less to do with forum profile links and more to do with out factors, such as on-page, age, and maybe a small handful of link factors, but that with a high focus of increase of forum profile links it started working against you, and just took some time before the penalty became more severe in 2018.
Some forum profile links can be good, but normally only if they come from industry related type forums that match the topic of the website.
Forum links from seo type websites, or computer or technical type website forums do not match the gambling industry, and certainly having hundreds of them from any old shopping, travel, health food, exercise, cooking etc etc etc does little to help the link profile of a gambling website.

Google wants to count editorial links, that can be considered as votes.
A link in a forum is a link a user can freely place, so I wouldn't plan a strategy based on spamming forums to increase ranking... their value is extremely limited...
A lot of factors influence here. Crowd marketing does not work very well for the main indicators of the site, but these links well dilute the total reference weight by raising this DR site. In gray themes, where to get top with sponsorship articles is very expensive and use PBN - crowds are very helpful.
Should also bear in mind most forum links from what I've seen are no follow. Though that doesn't stop you getting traffic through them.
I use links from forums and comments only to dilute the reference mass. I think the reference promotion works in the complex... PBN + guest posting + social signals + links from forums. The main thing to combine the natural proportions in the reference.
If it gives you traffic why not. Putting a link here in your signature is maybe not a bad idea. You won't get better rankings overnight but if people are staying and reading your website for a long time and returning, is a sign of a quality website in the eyes of Google.
All real quality websites have no-follow links.
Forums and blogs?
I would say it helps a little bit. A tiny bit. Do not waste your time opening accounts in all forums and putting links to your site. It will not work.
As others have said, the majority of forums have "no follow" links: which means that search engines do not take them into account. On the other hand, Google is perfectly capable of evaluating the quality of a link. And the quality of links from a forum is low.
And if you put links on sites that are not related to gambling, or it will be useless, or it may even be harmful.
On gambling blogs, it's a little better. But everything depends on the authority of this blog. (And, of course, if the links are dofollow)
Do you want to know the right way to have good backlinks and progress in Google's SERPs?
Make pages of high quality, the kind of pages that others will want to link to. It takes a lot of effort but it works.
However, trying to find tricks to get good results with Google gives bad results in the long run. Why? Because even if you found a trick that would work now, it will not work for a long time since Google is constantly changing its algorithm.
And you may even be penalized if Google finds you exaggerate...![]()
