    Default getting a page/post cached

I was wondering what method's everybody uses to get a new page/post cached. normally google will do it, but it can take a while. and if you working on a time promotion you want it to be instant (or as fast as possible).

I use social bookmark sites and article submissions. But it doesn't work every time.

I use social bookmark sites and article submissions. But it doesn't work every time.

1 - You could just link to it from somewhere else - that's what I do, and tbh google usually has a new page on a static site indexed within 24 hours anyway.

2 - Use a sitemap. If its wordpress and your using a sitemap your likely good to go anyway. Even static sites are crawled alot faster these days than they were a year ago - mine is downloaded daily. If your using static sites you can also set up a cron job to ping your sitemap.

If its a wordpress post, that is slow in indexing I feel it has to do with backlinks to the site or lack there of. I dont use social bookmarking sites to get a page indexed. I actually think the first link going to a page coming from the same profiles with social bookmarking sites doesn't do the page/post any benefit at all - I think it hurts the page. So I just don't bother with social bookmarking. I will do it for other people's sites though when I come across something neat

You can also submit your website/blog to search engines if it is not yet indexed. Also, aside from doing what kaus has said, you can use the Google Webmaster Tools too in order to monitor your website better.

Pinging is a great way, but if it doesn't work get some backlinks.

Social Bookmarking, Article Submission and try submitting your RSS Feed to online Aggregators

The best way for posts and news articles i found was through google news. Had to create a new google news sitemap and submit my site to google news for verification. They also except blogs.

Other than that i'd also create links on well indexed pages (homepage) of the site/sites

Indexing/cached of pages is depending on site where you submit your site. Articlebase is the article directory but indexing soon your article pages when approved.
