    Default GOOGLE wAVE

    Hi all,

I have received an invitation to Google Wave today and am about to use it. So I am wondering whether you are using this new Google product or not. Thanks for your votes

I couldn't vote in the poll because there was no option that says " WTF is a google wave"
Seriously, I must have my head buried somewhere because I have never heard of the google wave.
I guess I should do some googling to find out.

Google Wave is a self-described "personal communication and collaboration tool" announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009.

It is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking.

Basically it's google trying to be twitter, facebook, forums and chat all in one.

It's nerdy, it's trying to be trendy with a lot of in-house references to sci-fi shows like Firefly, it's a lot of hype and hoopla - right down to the staged releases ... sort of "ohhh I've been invited" prestige ...

Anyone who wants to be cool and close to Google (read most SEO junkies) will love to be in on this one early .. but it's really an application looking for a problem to solve so far.

Here is the wiki entry ...

    Hi All,

For the people that voted "WTF is Google Wave" here are the good news: You don't need to learn about it as it will be discontinued:
