Gr88 T&C Concerns

I met Jason, Riley, and Kris last weekend at the CBG Affiliate Weekend. They struck me as honest and trustworthy folks. I was impressed with their plans and with their backgrounds within the industry. I think they'll be very successful. I even joined their affiliate program and plan on giving Gr88 a lot of coverage on my poker portal.

That said, as President of the GAU, one of my main objectives is to audit program terms and conditions to ensure they are affiliate and player friendly. while checking Gr88's T&C's (player and affiliate), I came across several clauses that raise some concerns....

Player T&C's

17. Abandonment of Account Balance.

The Company reserves the right to cancel your GR88.com account for any justifiable reason whatsoever at any time without notice to you. If you do not access your GR88.com account by "logging in" to your Account using your Account Name and password for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days, your Account may be closed and the entire Account Balance will be deemed abandoned and forfeited and the Company may also close any account with any ESP you may have; provided however, such requirement for log-in and entry is not and does not constitute any requirement whatsoever for you to play any Game, deposit funds or participate in any activity at GR88.com other than logging in.

I'm not a fan of any abandonment clause. I think they are predatory and completely unnecessary. I would love to see this clause disappear.


Affiliate T&C's

If you fail to bring in at least 1 registered player within 3 months of activating your GR88.com affiliate account, your account will be terminated. At that time you may decide to open up a new affiliate account should you wish to continue with the GR88.com affiliate program.

Quotas, no matter how easy they are to fulfill, are just plain bad for business. Please remove this clause.

If an Affiliate is participating via the Revenue Share Model and the Net Revenue for a particular calendar month is negative, such negative amounts shall be carried forward to the subsequent months(s).

Most casino affiliates will not promote brands that include NCO in their terms. It would be a good business strategy to remove this clause.

I would be happy to discuss these concerns with either Jason or Kris via email or Skype if they wish. My goal is not to embarrass Gr88 or to generate negative publicity for the brand, I simply want to ensure players and affiliates are protected and are being treated fairly.

It's on my to-do list to update the terms and conditions. I probably should have made it more of priority and done this already... My bad!

I don't agree with those clauses either - they will be changed.

It was GR8 to meet you too Terry! We had a blast. Like Kris has mentioned, this is a work in progress and we will be changing these soon. To be honest, the NCO was removed from the equations in the back end a long time ago, and I though we'd removed it from the T and C also... but must not have!

We want our partners to feel like they're in GR8 hands with us, and we appreciate all the input as this helps us to accomplish this.

First, congrats on the new affiliate site! Mojo Affiliates is catchy and easy to remember - especially for me since one of my favorite folks is GPWA member "mojo".

I was checking the site out yesterday and noticed the terms we discussed last month are still up.... any time line on getting them removed? I also noticed I had some commission building up in my account - cool beans since I still only have your brand up in very limited locations! I can't wait to give you guys more exposure, it should be profitable for both of us.

On a completely unrelated note - Dale and I were chatting about you guys last night and we just realized we'd forgotten that I won a few $$ at the CBG weekend Gr88 tournament ( first out = booby prize ). How do I claim my prize?

It will be changed, just working on the final draft. Have to make sure all the Is are dotted and Ts are crossed.

I should have updated this a long time ago - but the Affiliate T&C were updated and are very friendly - we worked with Affiliate Guard Dog to make sure they were acceptable.

It would be nice if you all could lower the min payout to $50 or less for payments to player accounts. $100 is perhaps the highest threshold for Merge skins paying to player accounts. Besides, it might get some affs playing their earnings, thus adding to your rake.

I was actually considering that too, the last time I went through the T&C. When affiliates request lower payments to their player account we do it for them anyway already, so we may as well change it. I'll talk it over with the team. Thanks for the suggestion.

We have changed this to minimum $25 to player account and minimum $50 to e-wallets. Hope that is okay
