I don't know Paul going to Amsterdam for a conference would be cool, but going that far for me, I would rather go hang out at a very specific property overlooking the water in NZ....as I am pretty sure I could arrange accommodation....lol

So why don't you go ahead and schedule a conference near you....lol and gee getting paid that way I might have enough to actually buy YOU a beer...

And the saga continues......."our wire was rejected due to invalid swift/bic" a few days ago. Strange that another program sends to that particular account using the same swift/bic and hasn't had any problem the last 5 years. I ask them to try without the swift and now silence. Guess we'll see if tomorrow brings a response.

Why don't they implement bitcoin payments? Have you asked them this? That seems to work well for paying American affiliates...

May I ask why? I would think it would help most affiliate programs that have issues paying US players... pay them...?

I want paid in CURRENCY as when I pay m electric bill, cable bill, noc bill, or water bill and when I buy groceries or put gas in the car, they all demand I pay in CURRENCY, not some commodity that can fluctuate in price that I have to exchange at some brokerage house (bitcoin exchange) into currency.

I am happy with wires and checks, although I do wish the minimum threshold were lower for wires but US Affiliates have been living with that issue for almost 10 years now.

Like I had stated above, in my particular case they offered to pay me if paid the fees which is not worth it since only the banks and the processor would end up with any net.

I understand that you want to be paid in currency, but there are a number of factors that make that difficult. We accept bitcoin payments from some of our partners because it's much easier and much cheaper for them to use. It's also safer and faster. If you think bitcoin is difficult or risky, it really isn't. Not in the short term if all you're doing is cashing it out ASAP. We have a guide for our clients that I'm just going to link to you here in case you want to see how to set up bitcoin easily... it even has all the steps documented with pictures

Bitcoin is NOT currency so it fails the money test, and I do not think Brightshare pays in bitcoins or plans to and this thread should stay on the topic of how Brightshare pays affiliates.

Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers Rick. Just trying to offer some constructive advice / discussion as to the problem of how to get paid as a US affiliate. My apologies

I don't think you ruffled feathers, Rick doesn't have feathers as far as I know.

Is spot on. Thank you Rick.

Other news in the past regarding losing bitcoins and no way to recover the money as it is lost in the virtual world?

Of course that Bit Coins was a big money grab in the beginning when it first came out but now is not so much. Some folks made a LOT of money.

How do USA affiliates trust this method?

Better yet, get back to the subject on hand.

Well I have just a few hours ago checked the terms at Brightshare and they do state they will pay by wire or cheque, which does match what they told me, (as I stated in a previous post my owed amount is so minor that it is not worth the fees etc) so my guess is that wire is likely one of the only ways a US Affiliate can be paid.

For most non-US Affiliates they also pay by Neteller, Firepay and a few others.

With the quota they now have, the fact that they player must deposit within 90 days of signing up, the poor conversions, and in my opinion the lack of interest in wanting to work very closely with US Affiliates unless you are sending huge traffic numbers, the incentive to give them any kind of major exposure is not there.
