How long does a razor last you?

I am just about to change my gillette mach 2 blade, this will be the third blade since i returned from Spain in 2001.

Anyone beat that?

I shave daily btw and bearded people are not allowed to vote!

No Idea, i use any cheap old shaving gel and shave every day.

It must be that my stubble is soft like me

Well FFS, I voted before reading the post.... I have a beard. Still shave below the beard but use an electric for that and trim on a weekly basis too.

Can't imagine a blade lasting that long though. Mine would be ripping off layers of flesh if I stretched it that long.

I still wash the toilet paper over here!

Can get at least 3 uses from it if i put it on a delicate wash with no spin

Its not a complete beard so I think I am allowed

My hair is so thick and grows so fast that I use industrial clippers on the beardy bit and get through 2 razors on the cheeks, chin and throat part. And I only shave it once a week , unless I am going to me mums cos she doesnt like me looking like an extra from Pirates of the Caribbean

Question - would you guys ever consider waxing or lasering your face?

I went in to have my face lasered!

Was for removal of a few moles though not hair!

On the day when the surgeon got me on the table he said "Oh, No No No, we are not lasering these we are slicing them off"

1 hour later and a rather nasty experience i was out with stitches all over my mush!

Never again.

Laser under the arm pits maybe, what about the other?

Chalkie - laser doesn't really hurt too much. It feels like someone is flicking a rubber band on your skin. So as soon as the flick is done, it doesnt hurt anymore.

Well worth it IMO.. I hate hair and intend to get rid of as much of it as I can.

And BTW I know LOTS of people who have gotten laser in the other (as you call it) and I havent heard a single person complain yet. In fact, they rave about it.

The downside is that it can be expensive. Underarms here is around 50 bucks per session and you need around 6 sessions for the hair to be almost completely gone. Depending if you get laser or IPL on the nether regions, it can cost anywhere from 70-150 per session. And there you need at least 10 sessions for IPL and around 7 for laser (laser is stronger than IPL).

I have to say that if I had a beard I would totally get it lasered. I can just imagine how much it would hurt your face to shave it all the time when the hair gets thicker and thicker.. ouch!
