Way too much time in the past so removed FB and others just because it is a waste of time. Need to talk? Whatsapp and Skype. No use of looking at people´s breakfasts and check-in´s in Frankfurt Airport....![]()

Hey,
Spending time on social media today for a company or a brandis crucial and visibility, or lack thereof can basically make or break yourcompany, no question about it. If you do not reach out to enough to your maintarget group via the classic marketing channels you deff need to go forsocial media.
However, you should not just create a instagram, facebook or twitter just because yourcompany “needs” them. Having multiple of social media account and not usingspending enough on the look or feel and not promoting your brand in the correctcan do more harm than good.
So,spending a decent amount of time laying out a good marketing strategy for yoursocial media accounts, like asking yourself:
Whatis the first thing I want consumers to focus on when they see our page?
Whereon social media are my potential customer more prone to use, is it twitter, Instagramor Facebook?
Whereshould the CTA be placed?
Howmany posts should you do per week or day?
Isit worth sharing you company’s page on my personal social media accounts?
Howcan you boost your company’s social media accounts without spending largeamount of money?
Socialmedia today is a really powerful tool when it comes to marketing, but be caucusin how you use your social media account.

One - two hour per day
I find it very easy to spend hours on there because the engagement of my pages and accounts is so high.
3 hours per day. I spend 70% procent on Facebook, 20% on Twitter, and 10% on Pinterest and Instagram.
Hey there! May be 4 to 5 hours a day. But, yeah, only for self and knowledge updation. Not for any kind of gossips and ordinary things to look out for.
Social media is a great tool for Branding.
However like site content, the value of SM for your site, is only as good as the quality your distributing. If your using "social media" just for the sake of having a row of pretty SM icons on your site, then your missing the point to it. If your main objective for using "social media" is fueled by gaining inbound links, again your missing the point.
The secret to successful "social media" is using what fits your needs perfectly![]()
I spend most of my time in front of my computer.
I spend 5 hours daily
Less than an hour a day

Well, I am logged but I am not really online. Just an opened windows (about 10 or 20) and one of them is for my facebook profile. I am chatting there with some partners and friends but let's say. about 1-2 hours max.
We still continue to try to use social media for our business, but it's really poor source of clients. Those that we've gotten so far are of such poor quality that there is no way we're recouping the time and expense spent. Perhaps we've gotten a couple links and some brand exposure, as well as some social signals, and those are difficult to quantify. But still, I think we're easily dealing with a losing proposition here.
With that said, we have a few new projects and one of them, against my better judgement, is going to start out entirely with a social media focus. No link building, no directory submission, no press releases, just a pure social media focus to build up a user base. I think we're pissing money into the wind, but one of our employees really believes it can work, so we're giving it a shot. I hope I'm proven wrong.
With regard to how much time I spend on social media...? As little as humanly possible. It's the biggest time sink I've ever come across.

Social media is not good for business during working hours!
Way too much lol
In Fact, I use Social sites for sharing anything that I post on sites like gamasutra.com for my clients. And also read related posts or comment on the posts my any client/friend have posted and I like. But honestly I don't get much time for it.
Too much time
Maybe 1-2 hour per day.
Not too much, 15 minutes a today. I never post anything on it and stay in touch with people mainly through Skype.
Yes. I use some social media for my websites, but besides that I rarely use it. It's not interesting that the neighbour of an ex-colleague of your mother is drinking tea at the tearoom with her husband. Neither I do not feel that people should know all day that I am doing or not.
I'm behind the screen more than enough daily. I prefer to get some fresh air in my free time. To talk with people I prefer face-to-face, Whatsapp or Skype.
God, I detest Facebook. Fake happiness and people whoring for likes and comments. And for some reason, people say the stupedist, most racist things which they seem fit to share with the whole world. I really don't want to hear why my uncle "hates all foreigners" and why my best friend's neighbour is pissed at her cheating boyfriend. Don't care, and never will. Oh, you are having dinner? How special. Thanks for sharing a badly lit picture of your burnt steak and soggy fries.
The filter that most people have in real life that prevents them from expressing every single thought that comes up in their tiny little brains does not seem to exist on social media.
The moment I felt I was only posting to show everyone how "great" and "fantastic" my life was, I closed my account permanently. This was 5 years ago and I have not missed it one second.

Don't get enough time to check out my FB and LinkedIn profile. But normally I use 1 hour.
