Today it's around 26C outside. Little windy and a few clouds.. The last few days have been pissing down rain. Christmas day was between 30-35C. Was so nice that I washed my car and sweat like a pig, then the rain came

Looks like the temperature is only going up this week. Saturday should see us at 31C and sunny til the cows come home. Thankful because I'm getting tired of the rain! Between Dec-April it usually never rains here and is hot as an oven.

Luckily in winter here the lowest it gets is about 14C. I can't imagine living somewhere that snows in winter. I hate the cold brrrr

Hehe Renee - I met an Australian boyfriend while in Australia for Uni, and abducted him back to Canada with me. Surprisingly, he has fallen in love with the cold and snow and is even more tolerant of it than I am! Bet he never expected to give up the sand and surf for this

I hope you're right Christian, and that we can expect lots more snow - my first winter in Montreal has been somewhat disappointing so far I feel like I'm the only one who WANTS copious amounts of snow

That's exactly it! And I have a friend coming to visit from Australia in a couple of weeks who has never even SEEN snow, so the weather better not disappoint! Haha

I saw some snow last week. There was maybe 1/4 inch on the ground and it stayed around for 1 day!! More than enough time and snow for me. I do believe in winter, for about 2 weeks, and then it should be over.

I've actually turned down a couple of jobs based on having to move to colder weather, like Chickago and Pittsburgh. Not going to happen in this lifetime..maybe I'll love the cold next time around.

Right now it's rainy and 40F here..it will be this way for the next 3 months.

Deanna - I've never skiied and only been to the snow in Oz once. I saw snow in August in Washington. Went to the top of Mt Baker courtesy of travel guide Mr J Todd. That was something else.

On the other hand I don't surf either and actually if I go to the beach I dont even go in the water. I'm petrified of sharks. Had a bad experience when I was a kid and never been in since. Well, I go in up to my knees. There are 3 year olds that go further than me.

I still wouldn't swap it. I love the sun far too much. In fact, if they'd let me I'd position my desk up on the roof so I could be in the sun all day.

Here in Toronto we have no snow and no tuke is required (as I have a shaved head)....

I've always wanted to visit Oz and Kiwiland!! My prob is I haVe "issues" with traveling...I love to go places, but hate to travel, go figure.

I'll have to make a plan, b/c there are some really interesting places to see in Oz, not to mention seeing the Souther Cross from Down Under. Something to look forward to in the not too distant future.

Whew.....it is a little warmer here today and it is my hope that we will be able to say that winter is finally over for us....
