hehe, the tv scroller is predicting a "winter storm warning" for our area, snow to come, ony go out in emergencies. Some places have already put up closing notices for Monday.

This will be our 2nd snow so far this season. The first was the day after Christmas, very early for us.

Argh! I have a phobia of being stuck in places.. especially tunnels that go under the water. This would freak me out big time.

Sunny skies and not a cloud to be seen here in Johannesburg, South Africa. We have had a fair amount of rain during December though.
We have had a lot of rain from December until now too.. Usually December and January are sunny and very hot here. Not sure what's going on. I just hope the rain goes away. I want to actually play touch football next week!

    Renee,

I've always wanted to visit Oz and Kiwiland!! My prob is I haVe "issues" with traveling...I love to go places, but hate to travel, go figure.

I'll have to make a plan, b/c there are some really interesting places to see in Oz, not to mention seeing the Souther Cross from Down Under. Something to look forward to in the not too distant future.
Sometimes you just have to force yourself. I hate flying. It freaks me out big time, but I've made sure that I don't sleep the night before my flights and manage to sleep the entire way these days so it's not so bad.
Just gotta find a comfortable compromise I guess.
The flight here is long, so start practicing

Well, we got our snow, actually 4-5 inches, very unusual for us. So, it will take days for us to dig out of this. Temps won't be above freezing today, and the biggest problem is ice when it does start to thaw some.

Just have to wait it out and hope the power holds on.

Yep it's definitely a long haul from me. It takes over 5 hours just to get to Los Angeles from here. Then starts the trip across. From my departure city of Memphis, TN to Sydney takes anywhere from 20-23 hrs. So if I left home now, I'd actually gain a day, since Sydney time is about 16 hrs ahead of me.

That's how long it takes us to get almost anywhere. Take one for the team

It's about 17 here in Cyprus at the moment although at night we're down to about 10. The weather is a bit mixed although compared to most places I think we're doing ok - just when the wind gets up it can be a bit chilly, and I need my gloves on for dog walking at 6am.

I've been seeing high temps of 12-13C there.. That true?
If so, that'd just be like one of our winters and not too cold for when we are there end of next week..

We had well over a foot of snow today. Beautiful out, but a bit difficult to get around. In our office, pretty much everyone who worked today worked from home and the High School my daughter attends (as well as probably all of the schools in the Boston area) was closed for the day.

The streets have mostly all been plowed, however, so tomorrow should be a pretty normal day for everyone.

I would like Winter if we actually got snow, we have had two decent snow days followed by rain. UK weather sucks. Rains in the summer and then in winter it rains and we get sun, haha
