Glad to see this thread still going strong.

Well we've finally seen the end of rain, rain and more rain here in Mauritius and are back to our sunny selves.

Honest though, if we'd been having any more rain, we would have started to grow roots.

Now we are waiting for the first cyclone (tropical storm) of the season to blast its way through.

Ok, ok, go ahead and gloat...I actually had to check a map to find out where Mauritius is located. Enjoy!!

It's really depressing to look out and see snow day after day... it's just not how we normally live in winter. Add the effects of "post nasal drip" and you get a pic of how things are going.

I even had a shock yesterday having an allergic reaction to eating chocolate. ER visit and all. So there goes that attempt to compensate for winter weather. Geez how much worse can it get when you can't even eat chocolate anymore!!

Awww, I'm not gloating honest. Just so damn happy that the rain has finally stopped.

Guess you had to use a magnifying glass to finally locate the Island on a World Map Well at least now you know where to come during the winter season.

At least it means you wont get fat over winter

Amy - we may be coming to visit in Jan next year. Waiting on confirmation from my sister in law. It's looking like either Mauritius, Madagascar, Antarctica or some where in Europe. Mauritius is the number one choice so far though..

It's soooo expensive for us to fly there from here.. We may actually have to book 2 separate flights.

My small little part of the world in New South Wales is coming into some hot days next week. This is coming after Queensland being inundated with water just a fortnight ago.

Ouch, well enjoy it to the most dear.

I've almost forgotten what a clear blue sky is... On the other hand, can't complain because our water reserves are getting drained here. Our reservoirs are now below 40% filled

Renee, I see you don't have any understanding of chocoholics. When I'm stressing for a taste, things like getting fat are totally irrelevant. I had a close call yesterday, but I called my sponsor and she talked me down.

I'd think travel to Amy's territory from anywhere would be expensive! Just for the fun of it, I'll do a search on how I'd travel there from my town.

We were going to book tickets from south africa and it was going to cost us 80,000 Rand.. that's over $10,000AUD..

Looks like we may be going to Thailand now.. It keeps changing daily.

Believe me amateur, I know everything about a chocoholic.. I used to be one.. We had a chocolate club going.. It was terrible.. but I'm now on my way to losing the weight I gained.

BTW it was 28C at 7am. Supposed to be getting up in the high 30s today..

I really love the Aussie summer!

We had 42C at 5pm on Saturday.
It was bloody hot. I went down to the local swimming pool where my parents live and the water was almost as hot as the air. Was really nice to swim though. I haven't done in years. Went down on Sunday too. Wasn't as hot though and the water was a bit colder. I could have stayed there all day though.. Will definitely have to make more of an effort to swim in the summer.
