Default If You Owned Google What Would You Do?

I was wondering.... If you owned Google would you still keep it and build it up more or just sell it.

I am no sure how much it is worth but apparently around $163.2 billion.

You could build it up and get the figure higher but then again with other search engines you may struggle to keep that figure or it may go down.

If you sold it, even for $1 billion which would be a huge lose you would be set for life. Not many people make a million in there lifetimes never mind a billion.

Then again someone people are power thirsty and are never happy with a figure.

Personally thinking about it I would probably sell. But then again, if I got it that big from nowhere at all then I guess it could mean more to me.

I can imagine Google saying: "No less than $500 Billion"

Be cool if they bough all the search engines out. They should by Lycos. Does anyone actually use Lycos?

    If I owned Google...

    1. Post a link from the Google homepage to Castlecasino.com and all my affiliate sites.
    2. Ban all the competitors I do not like (sorry, but would be fun!)
    3. Sell it to someone like Microsoft as the working hours would be horrible. This would be with the condition that if I want to ban/add someone to the top for fun, I can.

With the money I would buy the Caribbean and make it a predominately female party island

I'm glad we will never have to worry about that!

I wouldn't sell it.. purely because I don't think anyone would be able to run it as well as the founders do. I hate to see a business do amazing, then get sold and go down the toilet.

This is quite the same as the blog post of Matt Cutts on his blog. With the question, i will have second thoughts of selling it, only if the price is too generous to decline

Why sell... you can live off the money it makes and continue to watch it reach even great potential every day. I would keep it, but give myself a limited role within the company that was more involved only in major decisions.

    I agree with that one.

Live off the money, have people take care of most of the headaches and handle only major decisions... while lounging on a beach with a Piņa Colada (or other exotic cocktail), etc, etc

I'd keep it too, maintain the staff to keep it going and become the next Howard Hughes! Ahh, to dream

Seriously, I'll keep it running for the sake of maintaining the balance in the world wide web. Plus, by keeping it I'll earn the revenues forever..
