I use TinyPNG. It's free and easy to use.

I would give my vote for Optimizilla, been using it for a while, best feature is that you can queue multiple images and quality is decent.

Photoshops save for web feature is really easy and quick to use, it lets you set image quality with a preview, change the size, image format and more in one screen.

Save for web is predominantly for jpg.
Webp is better and there are plugins available you can use for Photoshop that work fine.

I usually save the images in .webp format, then compress them using Compressor.io

with my experience in developing web and SEO, I suggest you use the new format such as JPEG or WEBP. But WEBP is the best if to get higher score from Google ranking
