Default Issues between AussieDave and CherLynn

Guess now you'll know exactly how I felt Cherylann when you gave me your word that Casino Share were delivering me the free games console. We spoke in Nov 2007 and you told me in Feb 2008 that it had been briefed to the dev guys.

It was not until Duwayne took over your position at CS that I discovered that no one knew anything about the free games. Much less the development guys.

I waited a total of 9 months on your promises. But in the end I got nothing...Which also literally cost me thousands upon thousands in lost revenue.

    Hi Dave

Harry Bean, the Affiliate Director and I were working on the project together and he was well informed of what you and I had discussed. I'm sorry that you were misinformed after I left and in no way did I cost you thousands. Please feel free to email me should you wish to discuss this further.

    Best regards,
    Cherylann

As mentioned Dave, I'm sorry that you feel the project was handled unfairly after I left, I suggest you take it up with them directly, as I did my part while I was at the company. You have had my private contact details and bringing this up months later is rather unfair. I have not mislead you in any way and I have not received any correspondence from you or PlayShare in this regard. I left there on excellent terms, with both Duwayne and Lawrence who are still in contact with me on a personal level. I have forwarded Lawrence your complaint and I am sure he will deal with it accordingly.

This is between you and I.
Although Lawrence (was your boss?) Duwyane was not there when this agreement was made. I was made between you & I.
So why you've decided to pull him (Duwyane) into this begs question.

Personally I said what I wanted to say and was happy to leave it at that. But obviously you weren't.

Instead I received an email tonight from Duwyane asking me to make a retraction, which wont be happening.

At a guess neither you, Duwayne or Lawrence have the emails you sent me about the free games, however I do.

Reiterating I was happy to leave this as it was...

But seeing you seem to want to stir up hornets nest then I have been given no choice (again) by you, but to defend myself and forward the emails I have to CS.

Amateur, perhaps you can put a link from where this thread was actually moved from (or move this post to its own thread since it has nothing to do with the topic) since when reading this post above I almost fell off my chair wondering why it was posted in a thread about an issue with another group.

casinobonusguy - while I appreciate that you think I'm a nice girl (thanks), I think the horse is dead. Apart from hijacking a thread which had absolutely nothing to do with our program, you have made it pretty clear to us and everyone else that you don't like our program. You were not losing thousands waiting on us - I provided you with everything and anything you ever asked me for. We simply did not convert on your site, for your traffic.

By all means, continue hating our program if that's your prerogative, but give the affiliates who do work with us, and/or do make a commission with us some credit. They wouldn't work with us if they weren't seeing results.
Just because our brands do not convert for one affiliate, it doesn't mean that is the case for everyone. If it were, I doubt we would still be around.

Perhaps if you want to run a poll or something on who hates our program and why, you could start a new thread. I would read it and take notes and be open to discussion on ways affiliates think we could better our program, but I think since Dave is an affiliate working with us, I do feel that I should respect him enough not to drag another issue into his thread of trying to sort out an issue he has with another company. It's only fair.

Feel free to link me to the new thread if you decide to start it.

    Apologies Dave.

    Wow! That's pretty harsh.

Sorry Aussie Dave. I hope you don't mind if I throw in my .02. Perhaps a mod can split this off for us.

Some programs perform better for some than they do for others. For myself and PayDay Joe's, Rewards is in our top three for earnings. Other benefits include:

    1. Prompt never fail paymants
    2. Excellent retention team
    3. Top affiate program manager
    4. Good conversions (even out of us)

To name a few. There is also a huge suite of casinos with every bonus offer for anyone, no matter what you choose to promote.

To us this is one of the most dependable programs and we would never consider not having Rewards part of our sites.

This is where we want our big players to go.

Some programs do well for others and we cant do squat with them. Doesn't make them a 'bad' program.

    JMO

    Sorry for the off topic.

I very seldom get involved in other peoples issues or threads, but i wanted to point out a few comments.

First Renee, I must say you are a classy women!! TOP notch in my books. Your always very positive and i come here everyday. If i ever see your posts, i read them every chance i get. Why? Well some are funny. I enjoy reading your words LOL. And simply your a fun person and good at what she does.

On a more serious note, much respect to you for answering and commenting on some of the harsh things said about your program. You handled it A class.

    100% respect from me!!

IN terms of some of the other posts, i really think some words expressed in this thread were outright mean spirited!

Words such as "your stupid" " i hate" are so not needed. We have enough hate and in this industry. Plus calling one stupid does not help.

Come on man, were adults here... lets be friendly here. Bettter ways to communicate our issues than this!

    Just my two cents!

    Steve

I'm kinda confused on that point too Renee

Just so no one else gets confused...This is the thread topic "Issues between AussieDave and CherLynn"

Anyway the emails I mentioned in my previous post were forwarded to Duwayne last night. Least now everyone has the facts.

As this issue now has it's own thread, I think it's far that people know what went down.

I contacted Cherlyann in November 2007 about some free games.

Instead of adding a million and one emails, I've added below the ones that matter so hopefully everyone will get the idea of what or didn't happen as it should have:

    Hi Dave

I hope you are well. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I was off longer than I thought I’d be.

Regarding the free games that we were chatting about last week, we don’t currently have something to support that, but I will be working with my IT department over the next few weeks to find a solution, and I will keep you updated.

If there is anything else that you need in the meantime, please give me a shout.

    Best regards,
    Cherylann

    Hi Duwayne,

    I appreciate your eggerness.

The thing is I've been waiting for CasinoShare to jump on board for 9 months now (November 2007). As I'm sure you can appreciate lost time for me equals lost income.

so when I did send that doc I was told that the development guys were being briefed and I should expect the results in 6 weeks.

Now your telling me that the project is has not even commenced, let alone been briefed to the dev guys.

I'm not upset with you personally as this was between me and Cherylann. But I'm sure you can understand I'm not exactly happy or impressed.

    Hi Dave,
I’ve decided to take over this project from Cherylann and I’d like to make this happen. I fully understand the concept and would love to arrange a phone call for this. I’ll need to understand the technical aspects involved so that I can brief this to our developers and get an idea of timelines etc.

So, I’ll be happy to have a chat about this either tomorrow or Monday, which ever is best of you.

    Let me know

    Hi Dave,

I hope this email finds you well.

A lot has been going on in recent months and I know you had an experience as a player that you weren’t happy with. From what I understand is the situation was dealt with and everything was sorted out.

I’m very disappointed that the experience resulted in you not wanting to promote Playshare Partners brands any longer as I enjoyed meeting up with you in Adelaide and was hoping that we could have a decent business relationship going forward. I tried my best to get your free casino out as soon as I could with the resources that was available to me but we are not a huge operation and resources were stretched at the time. This leads me to the thread I’m reading on GPWA between yourself and Cherylann.

I don’t think the comments made about her was fair and specially in a public forum. She was an excellent affiliate manager and she did try to get your free games for you. The reasons for it not coming out soon enough was out of her control and before her leaving us, she asked me to make sure we get this project finished, which I did. All be it not as quick as I would have liked. If I had the skills to build that myself, I would have.

As a favor, could I ask that you post something on the forum thread to clear her name. I’ve worked with her for a couple months and I can assure you she doesn’t deserve those posts on the thread.

Well, I hope we can resolve all these issues you have with us and start working towards good relationship in future.

    All the best,

    Duwayne

    Cherlyann 6'th Feb 2008
Informs me that she's working with the IT department (tech guys) to find solutions for the free games.

    Cherlyann 9'th April 2008
Waiting to hear back from Microgaming about the free games but should have everything sorted by July 2008.

    Cherlyann 15'th July 2008
I'm informed that she's leaving Playshare & given introduction to Duwayne. No mention of free games.

    I Contact Duwayne 24'th July 2008
Speak about free games and disappointment in Cherlyann not following through with out aggreement.

    Duwayne Replies 25'th July 2008
Duwayne was not aware of the free games project because not only does he want to be briefed on it, he needs to brief the IT Department (tech guys)...

NB - Since 6'th Feb 2008 Cherlyann lead me to believe that the free games were in thehands of their IT Dept & in April 2008 were also in the hands of Microgaming.

    Duwayne's Email 16'th Feb 2009 - GPWA Post
    About Cherylann
"before her leaving us, she asked me to make sure we get this project finished"

It's pretty damn obvious that is just crap.
Otherwise Duwayne would not have stated on the 25'th July 2008:
"I’ll need to understand the technical aspects involved so that I can brief this to our developers and get an idea of timelines etc"

If Cherlyann had in fact briefed the developers back in Feb 2008 and Microgaming was also involved as stated by Cherlyann is April 2008, then the IT Department and everyone at Playshare Affiliates (CS) would have held a brief on the free games.

    ---------

I'll leave this with my response to Duwayne's email asking me to retract my GPWA posts:

    Hi Duwayne,

    SAID WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Unfortunately things went pear shaped and you've been caught in the cross fire.
Although I respect your position on this & hold no malice towards you, I'm not about to make any retraction, sorry.

The fact of that matter is Cherlyann lead me up a garden path for months & months & I have the emails to prove it!

At any time Cherlyann could have said something like...hey Dave I'm not 100% confident that the free games will be finalised by July. Least this would have given me a scope of choice. But I got nothing, just idle promises and continued extended dates.

If Cherlyann didn't like the GPWA post that's too bad. Maybe in future it will give her a reminder that people like myself who are self employed, don't earn anything by waiting around sitting on their hands.

    Cheers

    Dave

I honestly don't think the gang expected me to have saved the emails.

However in this industry & like most these days you have to save everything, otherwise your setting yourself up to being totally screwed over in most cases.

Granted everyone makes mistakes. But instead of simply saying I'm sorry, Cherylann opted to try and make waves and to get Duwayne and Playshare involved.

The thing is...all of this could have been saved if Cherlyann had simple said to me I'm sorry!

    Cheers

Im not really sure of these details. Please help me understand. Did this game contract cost you any money? Are they still working on it? Did this need to be made public? Have they paid you back if owed anything?

Actually it started in another thread, where I said a few words. It snow balled from there.

Reiterating I was happy to let it go, maybe Cherylann should have followed suit.

However Amateur decided to move it to its own thread, hence the reason it's now back in the spotlight.

Although I did not pay any money for the free games, that's not to say I'm not out of pocket. I put a considerable time and effort into the project from my side. Like most self employed people time is money, money is time.

Obviously not, since you brought it up in another thread about Glen Lee ripping people off.

Terms and conditons - deals made between an affiliate and a rep. of a casino / affiliate program, is an agreement between an affiliate and an affiliate program? Cherlyann at the end of day is just a contact there - like every other casino/aff program rep.

Cherylann may not have performed her duties to your standard - but to say she cost you thousands of dollars is a little strong.

Casinos I have promoted on and off for their poor player support have cost me thousands of dollars, heck - why not.. even affiliate managers have cost me thousands for not getting me the creatives I've been after. - ahh... move on people - put it down to a lesson learned, and the cost of doing business.

Yes your right and that's where my two posts stayed!

However Amateur (Asst. GPWA Manager ) commenced a new thread with them here.

I then receive an email from Duywane who incidental (unless he was a fly on the wall) was never privy to our conversations & or emails. But decided to take Cherylann on her say so and send me an email.

But instead you decide to post, avoid the obvious BS in the emails I posted and try to turn this around into being my fault...

Any how thanks for your input even if it's some what misguided.

    Cheers

It was not until Duwayne took over your position at CS that I discovered that no one knew anything about the free games. Much less the development guys.

I waited a total of 9 months on your promises. But in the end I got nothing...Which also literally cost me thousands upon thousands in lost revenue.
I just want to say that when I worked with Cherylann, she always came through for me. And I hardly see Cherylann as being the kind of person that would intentionally try and defraud an affiliate, like this scammer Glen Lee has and is doing. Cherylann is first class all the way!

Sometimes, even with the best efforts put forth, things don't go as we expect them to. There's a huge difference between things not going as planned, and someone intentionally defrauding people out of cash!

I will vouch for Cherylann as well. She always tried her best to get things done when I was working with her, way back when she was with the Piggs Peak group. I met her in Vegas after that and we had a real blast.

I've never known her to drop the ball even though many things were not in her sphere of control, and I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to work with her again.

If this is the same Cheryl from Money Mechanic, then I can vouch for her also. She was of a great assistance to me when I started out as an affiliate. I was quite sad the day when WagerShare bought MM and I no longer could work with Cheryl.

My experience with Cherylann was 100% positive. I'd vouch for her any time.

I've had no issues with Duwayne nor Playshare Affiliates. In my book, both Duwayne and Playshare Affiliates are well above average.
