Earlier in this thread I stated that we have two threads about this topic going on now, and it has been suggested the threads be merged.

However, I think merging them would make things a little hard to follow, so instead I am going to request that subsequent posts on this topic be made in the following thread rather than in this thread:

If we do that, then the discussion going forward will not be split between two threads.
