Just because the operators is on the list is does not mean that they will part of the Association.

Ever been on a VIP list for a club and turn up drunk, the door staff do not always let you even if your name is on the list.............

Some of the things you mention that constitute a rogue operator in your eyes, have been done by some firms listed in the 65.

As I mentioned at the GIA (1) (2) , rogues policing rogues on behalf of affiliates, because aff programmes finally realised they were getting the shaft by rogues, is far more ridiculous a concept than Ecogra being the player's friend.

Set up yet another association for gambling operators to push their point of view through no problem. Roping in affiliates, is pointless.

Why? This new assoc will give less credence to affiliate's issues, than Cap ever did.

I want to encourage everybody to remain calm. I think of this whole thread as a way to address the variety of issues that this new group will face/address. I'm sure there are many programs reading this thread (chime in or hit a thank you button in the thread) so that all of what's being said here will be considered in this upcoming meetings.

Remember that Shaun is just one of the dozens of programs in the group, he shouldn't be considered as the hero(except for dodging all these 'tomatoes') or villain here. Shaun is helping present some of the thinking behind the move to help open discussions.

Like i said earlier, i'd like to see it be a trade show only. I don't want a forum to compete with GPWA, CAP, PAL, etc. I don't want the various networks to pushed out of having some conference and social activities. Even this competes with the current conferences

Sounds like a great idea.

I think for Chalkie, Betpartners and I we might also need a fourm just to about football, I know some of you guys from the US dont really know what football is, so a brief overview

22 people mostly men

1 ball

90 minute game

1 pitch

2 goals

1 aim to get the ball through the goal

Not 4 hours of men head to in pads hand slapping and grabbing each others balls.....

Its a unisex sport playable by men and women, only criteria is to wear girls protection better known as padding lol , now rugby that is indeed a man's sport.

Personally I dont like the idea of giving control to the programs. Not that I dont trust the people I work with, but right now affiliates have a voice, you can negotiate for better terms etc and its because of the people who are the middle man between the affiliate and the program.

I agree that Jeremy Enke, JTodd, Anthony, Micheal are some of te most respected and trust worthy people in this industry but straight away I see a conflict of interest, but this is not fo rme to decide this is for all of teh operators to decided.

Sorry guys I am not going to make any further comments on this, to many of the comments are being taken the wrong way as i hav esaid this is in its early stages no disscussions have been as to how it will form who will manage it who will sit in the board ect...

For this reason I think it would be better to wait until CAC.

This should be interesting so these programs will be no longer hiring and paying for email spam campaigns themselves? They will also police themselves on sending out cd campaigns and cross marketing to our players and what are they willing to do to GP for stealing and killing us affiliates? Will they toss out any in the group that change terms to be predatory? Will they stop selling our player list to other operators?
