    Default Marsbet - be aware

Have you ever seen a company stealing from their own affiliates betting accounts? Yes, I know it's pretty strange, but it's true.

Simple story: Marsbet contacted me to promote their brand on my sites, I thought they were ok, they have a partnership with Betconstruct. (Marsbet uses Betconstruct platform and pay them a percentage from their profit).

I was helping the guys to launch their portuguese version of the site, I opened a personal account and was placing some bets, testing the payment methods and reporting some translation and layout bugs. (for free!). Then, in a very UNlucky day I won some decent money playing a slot, no need to say how much, but it's a 5 digit figure. My account was already verified, I requested a previous withdrawal and got paid normally.

Then I placed a withdrawal request, and 3 days later got a message: "Your account is blocked and will remain blocked until your NetEnt casino slot games investigation finishes.

Ok fine, I had no idea why they blocked my account, but I decided to wait. They said nothing for many days, I contacted them by email SEVERAL TIMES, got zero answers. Finally, after lots of emails, someone decided to reply, saying the problem is not my account, but a "technical issue because the currency of the game is different from the currency on my account, so Netent is investigating it"... By the way, in the meantime, they blocked me from their live chat aswell!

Ok, let's move forward... after 2 weeks or so I decided to contact Netent and Betconstruct, I was completely ignored by Betconstruct. On the other hand, Netent told me to contact Betconstruct.. (how, if they never reply?).

A few days ago I got another email from Marsbet, they said "Netent finished their investigation, but now they have to do their own internal investigation" (yes, it would be funny if it was not sad).

So let's resume: 26 days later, I have no money, and it seems like they're not going to pay me at all. Betconstruct keep ignoring me, but keep profiting with Marsbet activity. Yes, they don't give a s***... as long as the money keep coming!

Yes, think twice before promoting this kind of site. If they do these kind of thing to their own affiliates, imagine what they can do to their players!!

BetConstuct is a technology provider, however we do not supply NetEnt games to Marsbet. We are not even a party to this conflict. It is an issue between you, Marsbet and NetEnt. Bringing BetConstruct into this and suggesting that affiliates do not promote companies using our technology (when the problem is with NetEnt, according to your post) is, at the very least, an irresponsible act.
In general, as a technology provider, we are not involved in our customers' relationship with their customers. However, as a courtesy, we have contacted Marsbet and asked them to reply to your emails. I trust you will remove BetConstruct name from this post.

Thank you for posting here and for taking steps in trying assist the op.

Being an online gaming affiliate can sometimes make one feel like an unwanted step-child. Software providers often ignore the abuse affiliates experience in this business by the same people they license their software to. So you must forgive us if we some times have to drop a name or two to try and get some reaction to a problem we are experiencing.

Thank you, DaftDog. Being a former affiliate myself, I appreciate the problems affiliates experience with unscrupulous operators and aloof technology providers. However, in this case the "name-drop" is totally out of place as we do not supply NetEnt games to Marsbet and do not own or operate this brand. Based on our experience, Marsbet has always been a responsible operator. However, we have nothing to do with this conflict. I hope the poster will be descent enough to remove our name from this post. It is a conflict between him, NetEnt and Marsbet. It is unfair and defamatory to blame us for something we have no say in.

Fine, I will remove your name from this thread if you confirm that you don't have a RevShare agreement with Marsbet and you don't make any profit with Netent games played by Marsbet users.

I.E, if I deposit and lose money playing Netent games on Marsbet, won't you share a percentage of my losses with Marsbet?

If your answer is yes, then you are not only a technology provider, but a partner. And you are involved indeed in this case.
If your answer is no, I remove your name from the thread, no problem at all.

P.S. Whatever is your answer, it's not acceptable that you take 14 days to reply to an email. If I was the owner of the company, I would be worried that my employees don't care about my brand reputation.

In your site (https://www.betconstruct.com/product...ftware-pricing) , you claim that you work in a revShare model with all operators, right?
You even provide them sub-licenses, if they want.

But let's assume that Marsbet opted for the Standart Casino Suite.

They earn 90% and you earn 10%, correct? You even give them the option to run their site in your servers and to use your licenses.
Don't you feel like you are a little more than a technology provider?

If the player loses 1000€, cool - we earn 100€
If the player gets robbed - sorry, we have nothing to do, but we will happily keep working with our partner because it doesn't matter if they are honest or not.

I removed your name from the title, but I will be waiting for your answers.
Edit: I will ask someone to remove it, because I can't remove myself

By the way, this is what NETENT told me:

    "Dear xxxxxxxxxx,
Thank you for contacting NetEnt, and apologies for late reply.
Our support team has looked into your claim and is currently discussing it with the operator, Betcon. Please contact them directly, as you're their customer and not a customer of NetEnt. They have all the information needed to help you with your query moving forward.
    Best,
    Marianne, NetEnt"

after I told the story here, the guys contacted me and promised to resolve the problem until the end of this week. I even believed that, but once again I got no feedback at all. Even if I sent them two more emails on Wednesday and today remembering the "deal", they simply ignored me (again and again and again). I guess this is not a priority for them, 36 days is probably a reasonable delay.

In the meantime betconstruct keep making a profit from their activity and reject any responsibility in resolving my "problem". What a wonderful way to make business, I wish I could have a company like this!

To be honest I have little hope now. It looks like they are simply going to steal me.

Yes, correct. And it's even easier to steal when you have accomplices that will support you.
I'm tired of this business to be honest. No one is responsible for anything. Even payment providers are guilty in these cases. They are very strict with their customers, they 'care' about money laundering, they block players accounts for security reasons, but on the other hand they let merchants do whatever they want. I thought people that support thieves are also thieves, but it looks like I am wrong.

Ask Anthony to change the title back to what it was. You may get some movement then.

you think so? Betconstuct didn't even bother to answer my questions on this thread, or maybe they don't want to answer at all.

I have a huge list with more than 85 sites (betting communities + affiliates communities) and this story is going to be on every of those sites. And I already hired 2 turkish guys who are going to translate it and post on turkish betting forums (the biggest market for Marsbet). It's a large amount of money, it will surely make some impact. I will wait just a few more days, maybe Betconstruct decide to break their deal with these guys or force them to pay me (I don't see any other option). But I won't be silent for sure.

P.S. these guys are so stupid, I was probably the best affiliate they could expect to have a deal in Portugal, they would have made a lot more in revenue in 6 months than the money they owe me.. this situation is even hard to understand.

Hello Universal4, I got an email with your reply but for some reason your message is not showing here.

And yes, I tried everything and I had a loooooonng cool down period before posting my story here. Now put yourself in my place: if someone doesn't pay you, but at least say sorry and keep you informed about the situation, then you can wait a little more.

But when a company not only refuses to pay, but they also ignore 99% of your requests, what else can you do? Sit and wait?

I only removed Betconstruct from the title because I thought they were going to resolve my situation. But I don't change anything about what I said about them. Technology partners? Bull*hit.. at this exact moment they are collecting a good percentage from every player that is losing money at Marsbet. And do they care about the fact that Marsbet have a fraudulent activity? No, they don't. When I first contacted them, they didn't give a s*it about problem, I didn't get a simple reply to my emails. Only 14 days later I found the contacts of some people and sent an email to the marketing director, and in the same day they replied and came here to try to "clean" their image.

I had actually moderated myself on that one, I was concerned this thread might not be the most appropriate place for my statements, and I did not want to derail the topic.

I actually think your original post was well thought out, and thread title was appropriate, but was concerned whether pressure was applied early on to convince you to request the change.

No, in fact I didn't feel any pressure. I just wanted to be "nice" to them, and hopefully they would take that in consideration and finally pay me. That's the only thing I expect from Betconstruct, either they force Marsbet to pay me or they kick them from their platform. Their attitude right now is passive, it doesn't matter if their partners are honest or not. Marsbet is a small (and poor) company but Betconstruct is not, they have big deals with some big names in this industry. If I owned a company like that, I would be ashamed to work with partners that steal from their customers.

just a short update on this:

I have contacted some of the main payment providers that they use. Even if I know some "big" guys in a few e-wallet companies, I wasn't expecting very much, because I know they usually don't care about merchants, as long as these merchants keep sending money.

But somehow they were very responsive (and fast to answer) and promised to help me. Probably because I have a long record with years and years of transactions and they know that I say the truth (I have screenshots and even videos to prove all that I say). So, let's see what happens next. I don't think they want to lose their contracts with Skrill, Neteller and others, so maybe there's still some hope to get the money.
