My site is a complete SEO disaster

Hi, my name is Radu Pasan and i own betforcash .ro(site no longer active). I Have a huge problem with SEO. HUGE! I get 1% visitors from search engines. The sites that copy the articles from me rank higher in google. I search"betforcash" and I am on the 5th page. It is a disaster. I wrote here about this some time ago but now I learned some new things and I realize that my website is completely 'serch engine unfriendly'. Even though I pretty much know what is wrong, the solutions are very complicated and I am looking for answers to them.

First let me say that I can guarantee that my wesite generates really high quality content. Picks like ours are nowhere to be found in Romania. I spend a lot of time to make sure of this, that`s why I am really frustrated because I know that I deserve much more than 200 uniques per day (yes, i don`t like modesty when it is not the case)

So, what are the problems? Well, i am not very skilled at webdesign so I had tu use some strange and ingenious solutions to make my website user friendly, good-looking and to give it usability.

I don`t have titles. My titles are just written in the article with bold, they are not real titles.

Some of the URL`s are completely irrelevant. (for example an article about martignale betting sistem has an url like http://betforcash.ro/i-tried-this-a-...-of-times.html) ... add to this that it doesn`t have a title and it can be the best article in the world, it won`t be found on google.

My site is mainly about free picks that appear on the first page instead of the picks that were there the last day. When I write an article or something different than picks I have to date it a couple of days before so it won`t appear on the first page - the picks have to be there. (for example if i write an article today i will put 10.12.2009 as date and then put a link to it in my website) - i don`t know if this is bad for search engines but it could be

I am looking at the page source and I see kilometers of cote before the actual content - i think the content should be higher so that google robots can find it easier.

I don`t know how to create a good sitemap since my website is not static and is updated 3-4 times a day with new picks. And the picks dissapear from the first page after the match ended, does this mean they won`t be found on googla anymore?

These are the biggest problems right now.
What do I do?
Do I try to repair all these problems? I can do it but I have to know for sure that it is worh it.
Do I give up and create a new website (I will do it in 2010 but for now I don`t have the money for what i need)

And very important ... with the titles ... two questions.
1) If I put a title to all the important articles now will google see this and rate them high or do I have to rewrite the articles and put a title to them when they are published? I can`t find an answer to this anywhere I look.
2) How big is the difference between h2 and h3/h4? I mean if I use h2 I still can`t put titles to my picks but at least I will have my good articles high in google. I can put titles both to picks and to articles only if I use a lower heading but I am afraid that h3 or h4 are too small and won`t be so relevant in google.

Mates, i know this is a huge text to read and very hard to answer. But I can`t do it anymore, i need some answers or I will kill myself, my head is spinning after days and days of looking into the monitor.

Hi there, Well i had a quick look at your website. MAAAANNN it needs some serious redesign , the first bad thing i noticed was that it took too long to load at least on the first time i tried to open it. Your all layout really doesnt inspire confident to the user to click anything on your website , i as a visitor i would take your site more as a hackers website rather as a gambling directory or casino guide.

Title it is somethin very ESSENTIAL for the search engines , specially in google , i dont know how much familiar are you with META , keywords , descriptions but that is the A-Z for search engines .. there is where you state what you are , who you are , what you do ....
Also the Body Text is very important , the keywords you use must compine with the META Keywords and Descriptions as also ALT text ... and so on and so on and so on ...

SEO it is not something that you learn just like this! Am a webmaster for 12 years and i still learn!

Except of the above they are also many other factors to get ranked in a good position in search engines ... some of them is LINK POPULARITY , DOMAIN NAME AGE , how large is your website , speed time to load your website and another 1 million other reasons!

I didn't look at your site (sorry !), but let me suggest downloading and using the Free version of WebCeo........this will give you a head start on some of the more obvious things. It is a well-designed program, that is easy to use. Everything you need is there, and you should be able to get away with the Free version to address most of your pressing needs. And no, I don't work for them, but I am a customer, and can vouch for its helpfulness.

I found it incredibly diificult to review because it's in Romanian.

However, 1 thing you need not worry too much about is seo with this site. You have used a new blogger template and it's associated controls to build the site. Google owns blogger and knows how to strip out it's code, and recognise the content.

You must have a content issue, or there's not much call for the content you are writing, I don't know.

airsoftnet - it takes to much to load only for foreign users, this is a verified thing. i can`t explain why but for romanian ip`s it loads in an instant. My site is not a casino directory it is a free picks portal but even so I know it needs a re-design. This will be done with the new site. I am learning SEO for two years, for sure I have much more to learn but I am familiar with meta, keywords, this part is pretty solid for my website. Thanks for the critics, this is the best way to helping me progress.

you definetly should have a xml sitemap
I recommend http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
Very easy to use and its free up to 500 pages.

You can just make a new one every day and upload it to your site - overwrite the old one.

First of - are you trying to be ranted for the keyword BetForCash or you just want to rank for that because that is the name of your website? If you want to rank for that - then, make sure you spell it out, too and place those text on your page and in the description.

Do this:

Tittle:
BETFORCASH - pariuri sportive - bet For Cash (whatever other related text you want to add, add it in here -but do not use too much text as your title can be only so long)

Next -Description:

(This is just an example)

BETFORCASH - pariuri sportive is your online resource where people bet for cash and win millions... (make something that's logical, but which includes the keywords that you are trying to target)

On your page - try to fit your page tittle and a nice description of your site that include your targeted keywords.

Finally - try to update your home page frequently - you can do this by adding a feed from a website with related content -anywhere on the page - whenever search engines visit your site they will always see updated contents.

Well, I said finally - but - submit your site in the Google webmaster tools if you has yet to do so...and a lot of other little things you will need to do, as I see right now, your home page looks like a piece of crap. You have some useless images on there, you have IFrame here and there - and when I look in your code - it's just messy.

But, you will get to #1 if you make some useful changes....

smutvibes - i don`t care about being ranked for betforcash i just gave an example so you can see how terrible my site is optimized. I have meta descriptions, keywords. Actually, the strange thing is that i did / am doing absolutelly everything you said. i think there are other problems. I am using the vbseo sitemap generator on my forum and its normal that it generates daily.

On my other sites, I make a new one at least once a week, and also again if I add new pages . So google knows faster about the new page I added.

I think its good you make a new one if you add new pages, maybe at least 2 times a week, just make sure you also then resubmit it in google webmaster tools, so they download it again.

Hi, I am here in Costa Rica, don't have much to do, but I want to help some people who need my help to get listed in Google! I know I can!

So, this is what I can do for you. First, I see you are using a blog, if you want me to help you - I can help you for FREE! I would suggest moving your blog over to Wordpress - that would be my first step - then I would instruct you on naming your images better and making the code a little cleaner. The only challenge would be that - you would have to do a lot of translation and do as I say and focus less on the fancy look of your site and more on the content - you can still keep it looking lovely and professional yet simple and search engine friendly. Think about writing an essay for your teacher who has over 100 essays to read and grade each day, if yours is messy, trust me, she might skip it and push it down the list and come back to it later, or just give you bad grade, that is how the Google bot is going through your code...make it easy for the bots to understand your site.

That's a good question - but before you make that account IF you don't yet have one - fix your site up (no rush) then submit it in your Google Webmaster Tools and do the same for Bing... but as i said - first make sure you site's pages are properly setup - by this I mean the tittles, description and contents etc...

So it is not just about me being the biggest novice, it`s about the mess I made with betforcash in particular. I hope I managed to explain myself.

Yep, I understand you clearly. I will look at again aat your website - betforcash and then see how best I can help you - the problem is - it's in Romanian, I guess I can right some things in English then you do the translation. As you are trying to target only Romanians, right? Let me know the keywords that you are trying to target too. I also do not understand the purpose of those images on your home page...also, why don't you register the other names like - betforcash.org ? etc... it's a nice name I think!... Let me know!

Rostick, the best thing would actually be to follow up on smutvibes' advice and switch to WordPress. Install "All in One SEO Pack" plug-in and you'll save yourself a lot of SEO headache.

I'd also suggest you to update your design by redoing your site's theme or use an already made WP theme template. This will clean up the site's codebase significantly and the Google bot will love you for it!
