GPWA - Quite Slow

I've noticed ever since I joined the GPWA a few years back, that the site and especially the forum is quite slow to load, especially when navigating threads, it appears quite sticky at times compared to the other forums running VBulletin I frequent.

I don't know if this is due to the actual skin, the server resources available or a mixture of both.

Are there any plans in the near future to address this? Once Casino City took over I did notice a slight improvement, but it is not great to be honest. On one of my dedicated servers I host my politics forum which in terms of actual postings is way busier than GPWA, plus my gambling portals and also host sites for friends. Yet it is super speedy compared to the GPWA.

Also the other gambling forums such as Meister and CAP which get a lot of traffic, are also a lot quicker.

Is it just me experiencing the GPWA being sluggish? I have a super fast 10MB connection at work and my broadband connection at home sits around 4MB and the GPWA performs the same from both locations.

I find the same thing at times. Last evening, "google analytics" was causing the forum to stall on my pc. I have a very fast connection and do not have issues as a rule. Possibly a coding issue?

BTW - this morning.... no issue at all. It does appear to be a random gremlin.

Very possible an issue with the skin and pulling information from the databases used. However just opening this thread to see your reply took over 10 seconds. Which is a long time imo. It should be pretty much instant.

It is not as if the forum has a large database, with just over 200,000 posts, the vbulletin database would be under a gig. Which is quite small compared to some forums utilising vbulletin.

I hope Michael and his team can address this though.

There were some cache "issues" (this is me being technical ).

It was worked on, and should be better.

Please let me know if you see any improvement, if there is no improvement, or if it gets worse.
