For our member "Tony"

Tony, a wonderful member of our family here and at other forums is going through a very hard time with his wife's health, and i think it would be nice to have a thread here for him to come and get moral and spiritual support from his affiliate friends and family.

He is all alone in this long struggle to get his wife healthy again and he is such a kind man i want him to know we are all here from him and his wife.

Tony, My thoughts and prayers are always with you and your wife, be strong, and remember when you need a friend, we are here for you.

Sounds like a charity poker game is in order here to raise some funds to ease the pressure a bit.

If someone can get a room on board to run it (and i am asking around), then perhaps Tony should become an aff with them and we can use his link to get people here an account there.

He would earn from it as well as the charity part too!

The first thing that needs to be done is find a poker room (preferably USA friendly) to host the game for us.

Then there are two ways I would suggest running the tournament.

A) $10 buy in game where $3 goes into the prize pool and $7 goes to the help fund.

B) $10 buy in where all $10 goes into the help fund and forum members donate to a prize pool for the players. An example would be say a Satt Seat from Saun Oniel a advert at Poker Nations from Antony etc etc

Right, i got a room on board, they will also add some if not all of the tourney fees to the charity payment too!

Hi all and thanks Pat for this thread.

We very lightly touched on some subjects which Tony mentioned would be of help to him and I can't remember which thread it was in (at GAP) so I'm going from memory here (and perhaps someone else or Tony can add to this) that Tony mentioned would be of great help to him.

- make some posts in his blog. - I would like to add a url to this but am not sure what it is myself (thus the reason I haven't made a post there Tony) - please Tony or anyone with the knowledge: post the url.

There are certainly other things that can help Tony out past this but I remembered the blog because I thought it was something I could do to be a help ... but I don't know where to go to post.

*also believe it or not I have never posted at someone else's blog so if there's a trick to it that I might miss ... please tell me when you give the url.

So anyway if folks could maybe stop in at tony's blog and make a post it would be a much more tangible way of helping ... but I'm sure he's appreciating all thoughts and prayers as well.
